Job Description Job Title: Mixer Operator Job Description Operate all manual, automatic, and material handling equipment safely and efficiently to combine ingredients, preparing them for various bakery products such as bread and cakes according to specific recipes and production schedules. Adhere to all GMP, SOP, and SQF standards. 2nd. shift: 2:30pm to 11pm Monday to Friday 3rd. shift: 10;30pm - 7am Sunday to Thursday. Responsibilities • Review MES Production Orders., • Inspect all raw materials for damage, cleanliness, and expiration issues., • Ensure line is sanitized using specified CIP procedures., • Complete a pre-flight checklist prior to tasks., • Maintain all tools and equipment in reliable working condition., • Operate HMI proficiently during the mixing process to ensure recipe adherence and traceability in MES., • Record production and consumption using the MES system., • Maintain a sanitary working area at all times., • Understand and execute all allergen regulations according to SOPs., • Ability to work in a GMP/SOP environment with proper attire such as hair nets and glasses., • Capability to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 75 lbs., • Strong work ethic with good attendance., • At least 2 years of experience in a highly intensive and physical work environment, preferably in manufacturing., • Basic computer literacy and understanding of operating systems., • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing., • Capability to learn and use production computer screens and scanning technology., • SQF training, GMP training, SOP training., • Ability to work overtime as mandated., • Willingness to cross-train on L2 equivalent work. Work Environment Work in a food manufacturing environment that complies with all CGMP and HAACP guidelines. The production floor is not climate-controlled, resulting in cold conditions during the winter and heat in the summer. Adherence to CGMP policies is essential, including the requirement to wear work boots and appropriate hair netting. Jewelry is not allowed. Shifts are structured as follows: 1st shift from 6:30 am to 2:30 pm, 2nd shift from 2:30 pm to 11:30 pm, and 3rd shift from 10:30 pm to 7:00 am, Monday through Friday. The 2nd shift Mixer Operator will train on the 3rd shift for 8-10 weeks before transitioning to the 2nd shift. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pennsauken, NJ.
