Job Description Florida Technical College is looking for a qualified Microbiology Adjunct Instructor. Florida Technical College Nursing Program is seeking a highly motivated and qualified Microbiology Faculty member to join our team. The Microbiology Instructor will develop and deliver engaging and informative courses in microbiology, encompassing both online and on-campus components with a laboratory setting. This position requires the ability to effectively teach complex concepts related to microorganisms, their impact on human health and the environment, and relevant laboratory techniques. The ideal candidate will be a skilled communicator with a dedication to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment for students from diverse backgrounds. Minimum Requirements: • Master's degree completed in Microbiology, Biology, or a related field (Doctorate preferred)., • Minimum two years of experience teaching microbiology, nursing or allied health at the college level, including laboratory instruction., • All positions require exceptional computer skills using Microsoft Office applications, Adobe, and familiarity with information systems; available to deliver the course using diverse resources; strong verbal and written communication skills., • Develop and deliver engaging and effective instruction in assigned nursing courses, ensuring alignment with program curriculum, learning outcomes, and best practices., • Utilize diverse teaching methodologies including lectures, case studies, simulations, group discussions, and other innovative techniques., • Facilitate clinical learning experiences, providing ongoing mentorship and guidance to students in developing essential clinical skills and judgment., • Continuously evaluate and improve teaching methods and course content based on current evidence, student feedback, and program goals., • Participate in program development activities, including curriculum review, assessment development, and policy development., • Stay current with evolving trends in nursing practice, healthcare, and nursing education through ongoing professional development activities., • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor, fostering a supportive learning environment for students and colleagues., • Contribute to the department and university community through service activities and committee work., • Compliance with FTC and standard safety and OSHA10 guidelines., • Maintain lab, supplies, and equipment.
