1-800-Flowers.com, Inc. is seeking a highly effective Scrum Master to support our Enterprise Technology teams, with a focus on backend systems and high-transaction eCommerce platforms. In this role, you will act as a servant leader and Agile coach, guiding one or more Agile teams (Scrum and/or Kanban) to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions. You’ll play a key role in driving continuous improvement, optimizing delivery flow, and ensuring strong alignment across engineering, product, and business stakeholders. What You’ll Do Agile Leadership & Delivery • Serve as Scrum Master for one or more Agile teams using Scrum and/or Kanban frameworks, • Facilitate Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Reviews, Retrospectives, Backlog Refinement), • Coach teams on Agile best practices and continuous improvement, • Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality increments aligned to business priorities and technical standards Flow Optimization & Metrics • Track and analyze Agile metrics (velocity, cycle time, throughput, burn-down/up charts), • Use data to improve predictability, efficiency, and delivery flow, • Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements Impediment Removal & Risk Management • Proactively identify, escalate, and remove blockers impacting team delivery, • Manage cross-team dependencies, especially in backend and distributed systems, • Partner with leadership to mitigate risks and ensure alignment Product & Stakeholder Collaboration • Partner closely with Product Owners and stakeholders to maintain a prioritized backlog, • Support backlog refinement with clear acceptance criteria and technical readiness, • Facilitate communication across engineering, product, QA, and business teams, • Ensure transparency through regular reporting and updates What We’re Looking For Experience • 3–6+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in IT organizations, • Experience supporting backend, API-driven, or platform engineering teams, • Experience managing multiple Agile teams simultaneously, • Strong knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and hybrid Agile methodologies, • Experience in eCommerce or high-transaction digital platforms is a plus Technical & Tools • Understanding of backend systems, APIs, microservices, and integrations, • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and release management, • Strong experience with Jira (workflows, dashboards, reporting), • Experience with collaboration tools (Microsoft Teams, Smartsheet), • Experience leveraging AI tools to drive team efficiency Skills & Competencies • Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills, • Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences, • Proven ability to operate in fast-paced, dynamic environments, • Highly organized with strong prioritization and multitasking capabilities Education & Certifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience) Preferred Certifications: • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM I/II), • Advanced certifications such as CSP, SAFe (SSM/SASM), PMI-ACP, or Kanban certifications are a plus Nice to Have • Experience in scaled Agile environments (SAFe, Nexus, Spotify model), • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), • Experience supporting distributed or offshore teams, • Background in QA, development, or DevOps Why Join Us? • Work on enterprise-scale platforms supporting multiple brands, • High visibility across Product, Engineering, and PMO leadership, • Opportunity to drive real impact in Agile delivery and continuous improvement, • Collaborative, fast-paced environment with strong growth potential The expected salary range for this position is $85,000 to $110,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, internal equity, and other factors permitted by law.
