Job Summary As Café Manager at LACMA, you will lead the day to day operation of an elevated café serving museum guests and staff within a high profile cultural environment. This role is focused on service execution, operational flow, and team leadership, ensuring the café delivers a polished, efficient, and welcoming experience throughout the day. You will balance speed, quality, and hospitality while maintaining strong operational standards in a fast paced, guest facing setting. This is a hands on leadership role for someone who enjoys being present on the floor, supporting teams during peak service, and creating systems that keep service smooth, organized, and consistent. Key Responsibilities • Oversee daily café operations including service flow, staffing, and guest experience, • Lead and support front of house teams with an active on floor presence, • Ensure consistent execution of service standards, food handling procedures, and brand expectations, • Partner with culinary and operations teams to align service flow, prep timing, and guest experience, • Manage ordering, inventory, storage, and basic cost controls for café products and supplies, • Support scheduling, labor management, and service readiness across operating periods, • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards, • Address guest feedback in real time and maintain a welcoming, professional environment, • Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities for efficiency and improvement Qualifications • Experience managing a café, fast casual, bakery café, or elevated counter service concept, • Strong service leadership skills with a guest first mindset, • Ability to lead teams in high volume, time sensitive environments, • Experience with basic inventory management, ordering, and operational systems, • Organized, calm under pressure, and detail oriented, • Ability to communicate effectively with culinary and operations partners, • Food safety certification or ability to obtain Apply to Restaurant Associates today!
