Job Description The Graves Firm is searching for a Paralegal to join our small team of exceptional professionals. This position is responsible for supporting three attorneys in a small-firm environment. Dedicated exclusively to employment law, The Graves Firm focuses on class action litigation in wage and hour matters and the representation of individual executives in negotiation of severance and employment agreements. We focus on a small number of high-value matters and pride ourselves on delivering the highest level of service in the most difficult of cases. Paralegal Duties • Proofread documents to ensure accuracy, consistent formatting, grammar, and punctuation, • Prepare TOCs, TOAs, and Proofs of Service, • Prepare court filings, • Meticulously organize and manage case files including creating, hyperlinking, and updating files in digital and hard copy formats, • Manage calendaring system and provide timely reminders for due dates and appointments, • Prepare correspondence, • Communicate with clients and class members regarding status of pending matters and direct to counsel as appropriate, • Answer incoming phone calls and route appropriately, • Communicate and complete detailed intakes with potential clients, • Coordinate conferences, meetings, appointments, and preparation of materials, • Complete data analysis projects, • Coordinate with couriers, court reports, videographers, and other service providers, • Assist with coordinating travel arrangements including air, hotel, and car reservations for attorney travel for mediations and oral arguments, • Exceptional written, verbal communication, and proofreading skills, • Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook as well as Adobe Acrobat, • Excellent organizational skills and attention to details, • Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and remain calm while dealing with dynamic situations, • Ability to multitask and set own priorities to meet deadlines, • Articulate and resourceful, • Ability to work occasional overtime hours as needed, • Associate, Bachelor’s degree, and/or Paralegal Certification preferred, • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds, • Hourly rate based on experience and qualifications ($50,000-$95,000 annual range), • 30-40 hours per week (plus overtime), • Paid holidays, sick time, and vacation pay, • Full health, dental, and vision insurance, • 401(k) with company contribution
