Job Description The Role: Reporting to the Kitchen Department Manager and supervised by the Head Cook and/or their delegate, you play an important role in maintaining the smooth operation of the Kitchen production. You will support the daily activities ensuring optimal performance and adherence to departmental standards. Major Responsibilities: • Based on orders received/production plan, prepare, handle, clean, cut, marinate, cook and produce the right quantity of foods for the assigned section, including but are not limited to, BBQ, Hot Food, Dim Sum, Sushi and Other Finished or Semi-finished Products, • Ensure recipes, ingredient specifications, quantity, quality, cooking time as stated in the SOPs are being executed., • Ensure product quality, food safety, freshness, and FIFO is strictly practiced within the department., • Ensure proper receipt and storage of ingredients/foods, including incoming stocks in appropriate conditions/area., • Ensure all temperature records are properly maintained., • Responsible for his or her own station ensuring that all items are appropriately cleaned and ready for use before and after each shift., • Ensure the kitchen meets sanitation standards as set by the Head Cook, Food Safety team, and Public Health authority., • Responsible for the cleanliness, sanitation, equipment/tools maintenance and ensure garbage, recycled materials and other disposable items are handled timely and properly., • Willing to work flexible shifts, including weekdays, weekends, evenings, and statutory holidays, • Good communication skills in English, proficiency in Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) is advantageous., • Possess knowledge, skills, and prior experiences in making Kitchen products (BBQ, Hot Foods, Dim Sum, Sushi and/or others Semi-finished Products), • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, • Well versed with workplace health and safety protocols., • Demonstrated commitment, accountability, and reliability in previous roles., • A good team player, capable of collaborating with and assisting colleagues., • Good organization, problem-solving, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
