This role creates a safe and inspiring environment for students to achieve their musical and creative potential and ensures that each School of Rock student has an exceptional musical journey. Roles and Responsibilities • Facilitate the daily activities of the camp and manage the progression of each student. This includes running a rehearsal room and providing individual instruction when needed., • Report daily progress to the Camp Director and inform them of any issues with any students, songs or casting decisions., • Help run the camp theme of the week by managing the students both on and off the stage., • Create an inclusive environment and manage student behavior. Camp Instructors should immediately report any major issues to school management., • 4+ years experience teaching and/or working in a camp setting., • Knowledge of music theory and curriculum design, • Excellent ability to deal well with a wide range of customers and other people, • Strong organizational skills, • Very strong customer relations skills, • Resourceful and good problem-solver, • Works well under pressure, • Ideal candidate is a working musician (actively gigging, recording, or playing in a band), • College level music training/education helpful, • Enthusiastic, flexible, patient, and positive demeanor, • Good judgment a must School of Rock expressly prohibits any form of unlawful employee harassment based on race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age, genetic information, disability, or veteran status.
