Manufacturing Technician On-Site Role – Santa Clara, CA Contract Cannot provide sponsorship at this time About The Role Our client is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to perform complex or specialized technical assignments, often project-based, requiring independent work, sound judgment, and creative problem-solving in a fast-paced environment. This role involves designing, developing, maintaining, and modifying manufacturing equipment, materials, systems, and products. The Manufacturing Technician sets up and maintains equipment to required standards, partners with Manufacturing Engineering to recommend and implement continuous improvements, and adapts to rapidly shifting priorities. The technician supports both development and manufacturing teams, ensuring high-quality products and processes, and plays a key role in training, troubleshooting, and facilitating meetings and training sessions. Flexibility to work in both office and warehouse environments, as well as occasional weekend support, is required. What You'll Do • Support development and manufacturing teams by testing specific aspects of products, processes, or equipment to meet defined requirements and timelines, • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues using technical expertise, hands-on experience, and interpretation of procedures and practices, • Master the processes and procedures used to build company products and train new employees, including assemblers, technicians, and engineers, • Demonstrate ingenuity, creativity, and a high degree of independent action and initiative in daily tasks, • Communicate effectively with team members and cross-functional partners to ensure the highest quality products, processes, or equipment to meet identified needs, • Supply ideas and solutions to improve processes and equipment, partnering with Manufacturing Engineering for continuous improvement, • Analyze data to identify trends and isolate cause-effect relationships; report findings and present progress and plans to engineers and/or management, • Provide support data for engineers during qualification and validation studies, • Plan and organize project assignments of substantial variety and complexity; initiate or maintain work schedules and project milestones; establish priorities, • Facilitate meetings and training sessions on procedures and processes for all levels of technical personnel, including engineers, • Support production on Saturdays as needed, • Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications • High School Diploma required; minimum 1 year experience as a manufacturing technician in the medical device industry or 3 years’ relevant hands-on medical device experience, • Knowledge of and compliance with Quality System requirements (QSRs, FDA, ISO, MDD, and other relevant regulations), • Understanding of and experience with 5S, Lean, and waste reduction in manufacturing, • Experience in equipment preventive maintenance and/or calibration (preferred), • Knowledge of PLCs, pneumatic systems, and electrical systems, • Experience in manufacturing processes, systems, and process/product development, • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate effectively at all levels, • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities, • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively; flexibility to adapt to changing requirements, • Ability to sit for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8-hour workday), • May be required to lift objects up to 25 lbs or more, • Ability to work in both air-conditioned office and non-temperature controlled warehouse environments as needed, • Availability to support production on Saturdays, as needed Why Join Us? • 401(k) Matching Plan, • Medical, Dental, & Vision Plans, • Relationship Driven Process to Find Your Best Fit, • 6 Paid Holidays, • Regular Meetings to Ensure Quality in Your Engagement About Us: At Brooksource, relationships are the foundation of everything we do.
