Job DescriptionAccounting Clerk Purpose of the RoleAssume responsibility for the day-to-day accounting functions including account payable, accountreceivable, bank reconciliation, adjusting entries, and assist in monthly close preparation. Key Responsibilities Include, but not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed to meet business needs. • Process Natural Formulas (NF) daily customer invoicing and credit memo., • Prepare NF daily bank reconciliation and cash receipts., • Prepare NF monthly AR statements., • Back up for NF AP check run., • Process Canada (CA) AP invoices., • Prepare CA AP checks run, wire/ACH payments, and monthly commissions., • Prepare CA daily bank reconciliation and daily inventory reconciliation., • Prepare CA journal entries and reports to assist with month-end close process., • Perform special projects as required.Competencies for Success:, • BS Degree in Accounting or related field., • Strong proficiency in the use of Personal Computers and Software Applications including, but not limited to, MS Word and Excel, • Ability to learn new software applications as needed, • Must be detail oriented and able to handle multiple priorities and deadlines, • Must be motivated and self-starter who is able to work independently or with a team, • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business manuals, professional journals, and technical procedures, • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals, • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, vendors, and the general public, • Proficient in solving practical problems and dealing with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists, • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammed or schedule formatsMeasures of Success, • Invoices processed and paid on time, • Meets deadlines, • Accurate accountingExperience, • 1 year of accounting experience preferably GL, Financial Statement & AP., • Thorough knowledge of accounting system and practicesPHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT: The physical demands and the work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Actual pay will be based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors. Work Location: Hybrid; must be able to work onsite at our Santa Clara, CA office as needed.
