Job Description Job Description: The appropriate individual should be able to drive all projects from conception to completion, manage multiple calendars, and provide excellent customer service to all clients. You should be able to work proactively and reactively as an extension of the company while bringing a results-oriented approach with streamlined execution to every project. The opportunity is ideal for a go-getter with a strong work ethic and time management skills. Training will be provided; 2 years of personal injury experience is preferred, but not required. These two years of experience can be as a law clerk or a similar position at a personal injury law firm. Must have an active Kentucky Bar license in good standing. Principal Responsibilities: • Managing the day-to-day caseload, including calling clients back, following up on treatment, managing insurance claims, managing medical insurance claims, writing demands, and negotiating and settling cases., • Managing the day-to-day litigation, including adhering to court deadlines and states, taking depositions, eventually taking medical proof, and trying a case to verdict., • Drafting discovery responses, drafting initial pleadings and our discovery requests, creating medical billing summaries, following up on liens, scheduling IMEs with clients, following up on IMEs with clients, assisting with closing and making sure all liens are paid and finalized, creating different graphics such as medical charts or evidence charts for trial., • Exceptional interpersonal/communication and writing skills., • Computer experience. Apple computer experience preferred., • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Two years of personal injury experience is preferred. Pay will be based on experience and preference. We have several different compensation packages; please ask at the interview versus going off the listed salary. The listed salary is the high and low end of what you could make year to year; usually, it is somewhere in the middle and depends on what compensation option you choose. We are less concerned with your number of years of experience than with your ability to learn and adapt to a job. Employees are required to stand, walk, bend, talk, hear, stoop, kneel, operate computers and phones, sit for long periods, and, on occasion, lift up to 20 pounds.
