This position should be self-motivated, capable of working without supervision, use safe maintenance practices, and work to repair and minimize plant cost and production downtime. Maintenance Technicians / Maintenance Electricians, will be working in a fast-paced extrusion and roto gravure printing environment. This is a highly skilled role in which a Maintenance Technician / Electrician will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, diagnose, maintain, and repair industrial equipment used in our manufacturing processes. Electricians will need to be able to work voltages up to 480 3-Phase. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Strong mix of both maintenance and electrical experience, preferred, • Solid ability to read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams, • Ability to align, fit, or assemble component parts using hand or power tools, • Experience testing electro-mechanical assemblies (as applicable) using testing instruments, • Complete a skills assessment test, • Have a working knowledge of LOTO procedures, • Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment, • Good analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail, • Ability to work off the floor in a scissor lift, on a catwalk, or ladder, • Maintain, install, troubleshoot, and repair the AC & DC motors, transformers and rectifiers., • Industrial electronic and control systems & equipment., • Machine and motor controls systems & equipment., • Logic panels including hard relays, timers, and counters., • Steam and condensate systems and equipment including chemical sampling and control., • Utilize test equipment such as digital multimeter, and amp meter., • Have basic knowledge of air compressors, pneumatic, hydraulic, chilled water, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems and equipment., • Ability to work 2nd and 3rd shifts, including overtime as needed, • Ability to arc and wire weld, operate plasma cutter, and use oxyacetylene torch, • Ability to rotate in a maintenance on call schedule, • Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, bend, crouch, squat, reach, use hands and fingers, utilize hearing, speech, and vision multiple times in a shift, • Ability to lift 50 lbs. What You’ll Be Doing: Repairs and maintains buildings, machinery, and mechanical equipment, to include performing electrical functions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Others as assigned. • Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble. Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts., • Repairs and maintains equipment in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturers’ specifications using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments., • Repairs and replaces defective parts. Installs special functional and structural parts., • May set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts., • Completes training on new and existing equipment., • May specialize in one or more of the following areas, but would not be required to have specialized knowledge in all areas: mechanical, electrical, electronics, HVAC and hydraulics. In all cases would have general knowledge of all areas., • Complies with all quality and ISO standards and OSHA standards, • Applies electrical knowledge to test electrical equipment and controls circuitry to determine causes of malfunction., • Assembles and tests motor control devices, switch panels, transformers, solenoids, and other electrical equipment and components according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principals., • Diagnose cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and performs preventative and corrective maintenance. Schedule: Currently seeking weekend day shift technician. WE-D Shift: 5AM - 5:00PM, Friday through Sunday. Overtime as needed. Qualifications • 5 years’ experience in related industrial maintenance roles that includes familiarity with:, • hydraulics, mechanical, electrical machine control and/or PLCs, • welding/metal fabrication, • manufacturing environment, • maintenance tools and equipment, • Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair industrial equipment. Must also have ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical or electronic equipment and components; read and understand electrical and machine schematics., • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. frequently; 50 lbs. occasionally, • Computer skills – able to navigate various software, including manufacturing software and maintenance tracking systems., • US Person (meets ITAR/EAR requirements) Preferred • Two-year technical degree or vocational training in industrial maintenance, • Familiarity of NEMA standards and UL Listings practices, • Master Electrician License or similar, • Experience with welding, robotic welding or metal forming equipment including bending, cutting or roll forming.
