Job Description TITLE: Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer Firm X, a law firm with 170+ attorneys and offices in the New Jersey-New York metropolitan area, Delaware, Florida, Maryland and Dallas, seeks a dynamic, imaginative, and innovative Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Officer to lead the firm in its ongoing and future DEI initiatives. Job Description Job Title: Chief Operating Officer Employee Type: Exempt/Full Time Purpose: Prevention Links’ mission is to foster healthy, sustainable communities by empowering people through education, collaboration, and by serving as a linkage to resources. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Chief Operating Officer (COO) is responsible for leading and managing a comprehensive array of services and programs to advance this mission. The COO will lead a team of division directors implementing a variety of program models delivered across 12 sites with a program staff of 125. The COO will review on an ongoing basis services being offered and develop new programs as needs emerge and will be responsible for all activities pertaining to compliance, quality assurance, personnel, program budgets, and stakeholder relations. The COO will inform the CEO of all program issues and accomplishments. The Scattered Site Housing Program (SSHP) is a community based, permanent, supportive housing program for HIV/AIDS Services Administration (HASA) clients. All units are leased in the agency’s name. In addition, clients receive partial financial assistance with their utility bills. Clients with income other than Public Assistance must pay thirty percent of their household’s income to the program as rent. These programs provide hundreds of units of housing in the community and SRO type housing in our 24 hour congregate residences to individuals and families living with HIV/AIDS, other chronic health conditions, mental illness, and/or substance use disorders. Our programs provide case management services to ensure that clients are connected to and maintain primary health care; secure behavioral health care when needed; and are connected to other services that support them in becoming and remaining permanently housed. What the role entails: The Human Resources (HR) Generalist will provide support in the areas of new hire orientation, payroll processing, benefits and leave administration, performance evaluations, management of employee data, as well as assisting with recruiting efforts. The HR Generalist will be a vital member of the Department working closely with the Chief Human Resources & People Officer and other members of the HR team. Essential responsibilities include: • Support the day-to-day activities of the Human Resources department., • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS system., • Maintain and update payroll data including new hires, terminations, salary adjustments, and deductions in the HRIS., • Collaborate with the Finance team to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations., • Administer employee benefits programs including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, and leave policies., • Serve as the primary contact for employee benefits inquiries, providing timely and effective support., • Coordinate annual open enrollment, including communications, system updates, and employee assistance., • Ensure benefits records are accurate and updated for new hires, terminations, and qualifying life events., • Manage employee leave programs including FMLA, parental leave, and other statutory or company-sponsored leave policies., • Generate reports from the HRIS as needed., • Maintain and audit employee personnel files and records across HRIS and benefits platforms., • Monitor and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations including ACA, FMLA, COBRA, and wage and hour laws., • Support compliance reporting such as ACA 1095/1094 forms and EEO-1 filings., • Assist with recruitment efforts including posting job openings, screening resumes, and conducting preliminary phone interviews., • Conduct new hire orientation and benefits presentations., • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience., • Minimum of 5 years of Human Resources experience within a law firm or professional services organization., • Minimum of three years of payroll and benefits administration experience., • Experience with ADP WorkForceNow is preferred., • Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel., • Ability to analyze and present data in a meaningful way., • Excellent verbal and written communication skills., • Excellent organization, analytical and time management skills; ability to meet deadlines., • Meticulous attention to detail and follow-through is a must; perform tasks with a high degree of accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness., • Flexible, positive team player; outstanding customer service orientation and highly responsive., • Ability to handle personnel matters and difficult situations with poise, tact, and to maintain confidentiality at all times and exhibit good judgment and a professional demeanor., • Recognize and maintain the highest levels of confidentiality. Compensation & benefits: The good faith base annual salary range for this position is a minimum $75,000 to a maximum of $90,000. The actual salary rate offered to candidates within that range will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, years of relevant experience, applicable education/certification(s), office location, and the candidate's overall qualifications for the position as assessed by the Firm.
