Job Description Crawford, Murphy & Tilly is seeking a Civil Engineering Project Manager II to join the Water Resources team in our Springfield, MO office. This is not a remote position. We are a fast-growing firm with 500+ employees across 25 offices in 10 states, serving clients through our four primary business groups: • Aviation, • Surface Transportation, • Water Resources, • Building & Site Services As a Project Manager II, you'll play a key role in supporting the Missouri Water Resources team while providing the opportunity to experience new challenges in a dynamic environment. Here’s what you’ll do: • Perform and lead projects including client management, supervising and directing junior staff in support of the group manager and the team at large, • Manage and mentor junior staff while overseeing technical design tasks, • Prepare comprehensive bidding documents including project finances, • Responsible for project task management and adherence to project deadlines, budget, and scope, • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver successful outcomes, • Support client managers and help grow relationships with Water Resources clients, • Contribute to business development through outreach, proposals, and community engagement, • Serve as a client manager or the ability/desire to grow into a client-facing professional capable of delivering high quality products and services to our clients, • Responsible for project task management and adherence to project deadlines, budget, and scope, • Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, or other governmental regulations Here is what you’ll need: • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, or related field, • 10+ years' experience in Civil Engineering, • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE), • Demonstrated technical design expertise in transportation projects including geometric design, grading, drainage, pavements, utilities, quantities, engineering reports, and specifications, • Previous project leadership experience required, • Transportation, site development, and infrastructure design, • Proficient knowledge in AutoCAD; Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office., • Strong verbal and written communication skills, • Strong interpersonal and active listening skills, • Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks, • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage deadlines and multiple concurrent tasks., • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify issues, evaluate options, and implement solutions, • Ability to manage multiple assignments on a variety of projects, • Demonstrated responsiveness, professionalism, and teamwork Ideally, you will also have: • Experience in business development, • Willingness to travel as needed, • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record Physical Requirements: • Physical demands vary depending on the specific nature of assigned projects. The expected compensation range for this position is $100,000 - $150,000 annually. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on numerous factors, including but not limited to individual education, qualifications, prior work experience, and geographic location.
