About the Role: Project Engineers are responsible for the support of functions related to construction management in the electrical construction industry. Projects may include performance of work for federal, state, and municipal clients throughout the Denver metro area. The Project Engineer assists with the preparation of plans, applicable specifications, and interfaces with and provides general project support to senior project management professionals. This location-based position will have some minor travel, encompassing work sites in the assigned project area. We have projects available in Dacono, Denver, Longmont, Loveland, Highlands Ranch, Henderson and Fort Collins. A company vehicle and fuel card will be provided. There are several client site locations throughout Colorado, each site will need support with occasional travel to the main office in Henderson, CO. Essential Functions * Interpret applicable construction drawings * Assist with the review of plans and specifications and prepare a checklist of contract features which require periodic attention * List items the sub-contractor must submit for approval prior to the start of the work * Assist with cost estimates and project scheduling as needed * Ensure maintenance of accurate records * Assist with preparing statements of work, submittals, change management and necessary daily and weekly reporting * Promote safety in construction operations and ensure compliance with safety requirements * Inspect equipment, material, workmanship and finished construction * Check progress of work in the field * Observe work in progress to ensure that procedures are followed, and materials used conform to required specifications * Regular and predictable attendance * Other duties as assigned * Essential functions of this position are to be performed in a Company-designated office or field location * Understand and comply with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy and other industry-specific professional and ethical standards, if applicable About You: Project Engineer II Qualifications • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the construction process of commercial electrical operations or general construction experience, • Ability to read blueprints and drawings, • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, • Possess strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills, • Working knowledge of Microsoft Project and/or Primavera at an intermediate or higher level, • Salary $70,000-$92,000 / year, • Commensurate with experience, paid weekly. Qualifications: · Construction/related degree with 1-5 years construction experience · Excellent computer skills and analytical ability · Experience working with Primavera P6, AutoCad · Understanding of industrial construction process · MUST - Experience in civil, infrastructure to include: Tunneling, heavy highway, DOT projects, pipeline, water treatment, marine, etc. · Must have ability to interpret contract specifications and drawings · Knowledge of contract procedures and principles · Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team environment · Ability to understand construction logic and sequencing of complex projects Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering Relevant experience can waive degree. About the Role Are you a seasoned project leader ready to guide complex civil engineering projects from concept through completion? Galloway & Company Inc. is seeking a Civil Project Manager to play a pivotal role in our growing team. This is a client-facing position that blends hands-on project management, cross-discipline coordination, and relationship building, all within a highly collaborative environment. As a Civil Project Engineer, you’ll play a key role in preparing site designs and engineering documents, supporting project permitting, and working closely with internal teams and external clients. You'll apply your understanding of civil engineering principles to tasks ranging from site layout and grading to erosion control and utility system design. With an emphasis on precision and performance, you'll help manage concurrent projects, maintain schedules, and assist in technical calculations and reporting. This role offers a unique opportunity to be involved in diverse project types, including subdivisions, commercial and multifamily developments, and public works initiatives. You’ll also contribute to business development by nurturing client relationships and ensuring the high quality of your work speaks for itself. Key Responsibilities: · Applying civil engineering principles to site layout, grading, stormwater, water and sewer, erosion control, and roadway/fueling design. · Assisting in technical writing for civil reports, letters, and permit documents. · Drafting construction documents using AutoCAD and Civil 3D software. · Preparing improvement plans, specifications, and permit applications. · Performing and reviewing calculations for drainage systems, water/wastewater, transportation, and site earthwork quantities. · Recognizing discrepancies in data and resolving them through detailed, step-by-step processes. · Managing multiple projects with awareness of schedule, budget, and client expectations. · Playing an active role in business development and client engagement. Requirements Education: · Bachelor of Engineering from a board-approved, four-year engineering curriculum. Experience: · 4+ years of civil engineering experience required. · At least 2 years of land development experience is highly preferred. · Possession of a PE license or eligibility to take the PE exam within six months of hire.
