Job Description Do you like travel and have a background in "hands-on" Mechanical Engineering? If you do, then we have the job for you. The job with OST Services (a subsidiary of LISEGA, Inc.) involves the Field Service Engineer ideally having five plus years of experience with pipe supports, restraints and snubbers. The work will be performed at non-nuclear and nuclear electrical generating facilities, waste treatment plants, paper mills, Petro-Chemical plants etc. located throughout North America along with some limited international travel. Depending on the workload and the individual’s interest the position could also be seasonable (part-time) but is intended for full-time employment. This job has fully paid travel expenses, per diem and work at clean power plants located throughout North America. You will travel a lot in this job and your pay rate will depend on your experience level and is targeted between $50 and $60 per hour plus per diem when traveling. Projects include pier repair and reconstruction, seawall reconstruction, utility improvements, engineering and master planning oversight, and site work. The Port Project Manager will assist RIDEM in delivering the projects on time and on budget. Previous construction management experience is preferred; however, supervision and training will be provided to the selected candidate. Qualifications The applicant should have experience with construction management employment or similar; the ability to read and interpret engineering plans and specifications; excellent communication and project management skills to track and report on progress, and coordinate with contractors, engineers, permitting authorities, project stakeholders, RIDEM staff and lessees; and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with contractors, supervisors, and project stakeholders. A bachelor’s degree in the field of civil engineering, ocean engineering, or equivalent is preferred but not required. Project management professionals that carry certifications and have experience in construction management are encouraged to apply. Work Environment The employee will report to either the RIDEM Coastal Resources office in Narragansett, RI or RIDEM Headquarters in Providence, RI.
