This Role Cristo Rey Orlando High School is seeking a Facilities Coordinator who will support the school's vision by ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and proper functioning of all environmental components that make our mission possible. This is a working coordinator role that combines hands-on custodial and maintenance responsibilities with team coordination and vendor management. The Facilities Coordinator reports directly to the Facilities Operations Manager. Responsibilities Include: Team Coordination: • Plan, coordinate, and communicate support activities with the facilities team, including staff training and performance evaluation, • Coordinate shift schedules to ensure on-site coverage between 7:00am and 9:00pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional variations Facilities and Custodial Support: • Develop daily, weekly, and seasonal cleaning protocols for classrooms, restrooms, the cafeteria, kitchen, common areas, and all gathering spaces, • Perform custodial duties alongside team members, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, trash removal, and restroom cleaning and sanitation, • Ensure classrooms, offices, and common areas are cleaned daily and set up for school and office use, • Respond to maintenance requests and work orders promptly, • Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and vendor services Repairs and Maintenance: • Respond to, coordinate, and execute both planned and unplanned repairs in a timely manner based on priority, • Ensure custodial equipment is well maintained and coordinate repairs as needed Installations and Assembly: • Assist with relocating large deliveries to targeted locations throughout the building, • Assemble furniture and equipment such as desks, tables, and cabinets, • Install wall fixtures including whiteboards, towel dispensers, and soap dispensers Special Events: • Coordinate facilities support for special events hosted at the school, • Work with event coordinators to prepare spaces, including furniture setup and reconfiguration, and provide post-event cleaning and reset Preventive Maintenance: • Assist the Facilities Operations Director in planning and overseeing preventive maintenance throughout the facility, • Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance issues and coordinate with the Facilities Operations, • Director for major repairs, including HVAC and electrical systems Vendor & Contractor Management: • Coordinate with custodial staff and outside contractors, • Gather bids and schedule repairs, ensuring compliance with contracts and safety regulations Safety & Compliance: • Ensure strict adherence to OSHA standards and health regulations, particularly regarding the handling and storage of cleaning chemicals, • Ensure compliance with fire and safety regulations, • Support facilities and security drills, • Assist in developing and updating emergency procedures and maintain safety records Inventory & Budgeting: • Maintain facilities supplies inventory and order products as needed, • Assist the Facilities Operations Director in managing the custodial budget and procurement of supplies and equipment Performs other duties and special projects as assigned by the Facilities Operations Manager. Required Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty. The requirements below represent knowledge, skills, and/or ability: • High school diploma or equivalent, • 5 or more years of experience in facilities support roles, including custodial maintenance and overall building operations, • Basic knowledge of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical, as well as safety regulations and preventive maintenance practices, • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, • Effective communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate with diverse staff, faculty, students, and families, • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and respond to emergency situations including unplanned cleaning or water intrusion events, • Regular use of tools, ladders, and general maintenance equipment, • Alignment with Cristo Rey's Catholic mission and values, • Bilingual in English and Spanish Preferred Experience and Skills • Associate's or Bachelor's degree, • 3 or more years in a coordination or supervisory role, • Experience in a school or educational setting, • Basic proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and facility or work order tracking software How to Apply If you have the requested background and a passion for the mission, we invite you to apply.
