Other duties may be assigned as needed. · Service technicians must have a good understanding of electricity, science, refrigeration, heat transfer, and temperature control. · Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair of HVAC systems. · Communicates with the customers and their representatives, including building owners, other contractors and field support staff. · Install, assemble and repair HVAC piping systems, including chilled water, steam and gas lines. · Must be able to solder and braze piping connections as needed. · Ensure all work is completed according to local building codes and safety standards and complies with internal contracting processes. · Must be able to collaborate with HVAC technicians, engineers and other tradespeople on project sites. · Must maintain tools and equipment and ensure they are in good working condition. Position Requirements: · Must pass a background check and a valid driver’s license. · High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or apprenticeship preferred. · Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in HVAC pipefitting. · Must have a strong understanding of HVAC systems, ductwork and piping. · EPA 608 Certification · Must have a neat appearance. · Advanced written, verbal, customer service and relationship building skills. · Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and technical drawings and diagrams. · Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in HVAC installation. · Flexible, willingness to be able to adapt to change. · Ability to work well with others both internally and externally including in stressful situations. · Knowledge of industry is recommended but not required. • Ability to operate effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision.
