Principal Demand Planner About Us JP Ecommerce, doing business as Bare Home, has been named one of the top-ten fastest growing businesses in Minnesota by Inc. 5000 for four consecutive years. With annual sales approaching $100 million, we are a leading eCommerce retailer committed to providing customers with high-quality bedding through our brand Bare Home. As a global player in the textile industry, we source products from key regions including China, India, Pakistan, and Turkey, while also manufacturing cotton products in the USA. We emphasize cost-effectiveness, superior quality, and reliable availability through optimized operations and strategic partnerships. Position Overview Bare Home is hiring a Principal Demand Planner to fundamentally upgrade how we forecast, plan, and position inventory across a high-SKU, multi-channel eCommerce business. This is not a maintain-the-model role. We are looking for a senior individual contributor who owns the demand signal end-to-end — someone who will rebuild our forecasting approach, drive forecast accuracy improvements that translate directly into reduced stockouts and healthier inventory, and take the lead on our Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process. Key Responsibilities Demand Forecasting & S&OP Ownership • Own the end-to-end demand forecasting process across all SKUs, channels, and markets (USA, UK, EU, Canada) — building short-, mid-, and long-range forecasts that the business can plan and buy against with confidence, • Lead the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process — facilitating cross-functional demand-supply alignment meetings, driving consensus between Sales/Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations, and ensuring executive leadership has one integrated view of demand, • Drive measurable, sustained improvement in forecast accuracy at the SKU, channel, and category level — owning the metrics, the root-cause analysis, and the corrective actions, • Partner with Marketing and Marketplace teams to integrate promotional lifts, new product launches, and seasonal plans into the baseline forecast, • Translate demand signals into actionable inventory positioning recommendations that reduce stockouts, lower working capital exposure, and improve channel fill rates Planning System Ownership & Process Improvement • Own the demand planning platform as the system-of-record for forecasting — configuring, tuning, and continuously optimizing statistical models, safety stock logic, lead times, and replenishment parameters so the system reflects current business reality, • Lead process improvement initiatives across the planning function — identifying where manual work, tribal knowledge, or spreadsheet workarounds are creating risk, and building scalable system-based solutions in their place, • Evaluate, recommend, and help implement planning system enhancements, integrations, and workflow improvements in partnership with the Director of Supply Chain and IT, • Establish and maintain documented planning standards, cadences, and exception-management workflows so the function operates predictably and can scale with the business Inventory Positioning & Buying Partnership • Translate forecasts into clear, defensible buy recommendations — partnering closely with Purchasing on order quantities, timing, and vendor allocation, • Work directly with the Inventory & Demand Planning Analyst and the Buyer to ensure purchase orders align with forecasted demand, promotional plans, and inventory health targets, • Monitor inventory positions across warehouses and marketplace channels (Amazon FBA/FBM, Walmart, Target, direct-to-consumer) — flagging over- and under-stock conditions and driving corrective action, • Coordinate with overseas sourcing partners in China, India, Pakistan, and Turkey to communicate demand signals, validate lead time assumptions, and surface supply risk early, • Support landed cost modeling, working capital planning, and inventory scenario analysis in partnership with Finance Cross-Functional Leadership & Executive Visibility • Serve as the senior planning voice in cross-functional forums — bringing clarity, a recommendation, and a defensible position, not just a report, • Present forecast performance, inventory position, and S&OP outcomes directly to executive leadership on a recurring cadence, • Provide technical direction and mentorship to the Inventory & Demand Planning Analyst; build bench strength and functional capability within the planning discipline, • Build trust-based working relationships with Supply Chain, Purchasing, Warehouse Operations, Marketplace, Marketing, and Finance — the quality of the forecast depends on the quality of those relationships, • Perform other duties, projects, or responsibilities as assigned by management to support operational needs, business priorities, or organizational initiatives Required Qualifications Education & Experience • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Operations Management, Finance, or a related field, • 6+ years of progressive demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain planning experience, with demonstrated career progression into senior-level responsibility, • Proven track record of measurably improving forecast accuracy, reducing stockouts, or lowering inventory exposure in a high-SKU, multi-channel environment, • Direct experience leading or facilitating S&OP or integrated business planning cycles, • Experience configuring, optimizing, or implementing a demand planning software platform — not just operating one, • eCommerce, consumer goods, or retail background with experience managing seasonality, promotional planning, and marketplace fulfillment dynamics Technical Skills • Hands-on experience with a recognized demand planning platform — Slimstock, Blue Yonder, o9, Kinaxis, SAP IBP, NetSuite Demand Planning, or equivalent. Experience supporting or leading an implementation is a strong plus, • Strong SQL proficiency — writes and executes queries independently to extract, join, and transform data from internal databases, • Advanced Excel: XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, Power Query, pivot tables, dynamic models, statistical forecasting methods, and scenario analysis, • Power BI proficiency — builds dashboards that give operations and leadership real-time visibility into forecast accuracy, inventory position, and supply chain KPIs, • Working knowledge of an ERP system (NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, or equivalent) for inventory, purchasing, and master data, • Direct experience with Amazon Seller Central and FBA operations — restock logic, IPI scores, storage limits, stranded inventory, and replenishment cadence Core Competencies • Strong analytical mindset paired with strong business judgment — translates numbers into decisions, not just observations, • Confident, direct communicator — can defend a forecast in front of executives and influence without authority across functions, • Process-improvement orientation — sees system and workflow gaps and moves to close them rather than working around them, • Organized, self-directed, and accountable in a fast-moving, growth-stage environment, • Collaborative and credible with both internal partners and overseas vendors, • Reliable attendance and punctuality What We Offer / Why Go Bare • Competitive salary: $105,000 – $145,000 based on experience, technical depth, and demonstrated impact, plus a potential 20% bonus based on company performance., • Comprehensive benefits package including health (ICHRA), dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, • 401(k) retirement plan with company match (100% match up to 3%, 50% match on 4–5%), • Paid time off, paid holidays, and Minnesota PFMLA coverage through a private plan, • Direct line to executive leadership — your forecast, your recommendations, your impact, visible at the top, • Real opportunity to shape a function we are actively building — this is a role where you will change how we operate, not just support how we operate, • Collaborative, entrepreneurial culture at a company growing 20–30% annually How to Apply Interested candidates should submit their resume and a cover letter highlighting (1) the demand planning platform(s) you have worked with and your role in configuring or optimizing them, and (2) a specific example of a forecast accuracy or inventory improvement you have driven and how you measured the result.
