The Role We're hiring a Senior Software Engineer to serve as a technical backbone of our platform someone who can architect systems, lead, influence, and drive engineering excellence across teams. You'll partner closely with Product, Data, Integrations, and Executive Leadership to shape platform strategy, modernize our architecture, and ensure we scale with reliability, speed, and quality. You'll own critical backend and platform initiatives, mentor engineers, guide contractors, and play a hands-on role in building the next generation of the OncoLens platform. What You Will Be Doing Technical Strategy & Architecture • Set and communicate technical strategy across multiple engineering teams, acting as a key liaison with integrations and data-flow teams., • Lead architectural direction for core platforms and services, including:, • Temporal-based workflows, • V1 V2 platform evolution, • Vertically sliced features, rich domain models, and robust automated testing, • Ensure reliable, high-quality data ingestion and publication to the data lake and data warehouse., • Own the design, stability, and operation of critical backend and platform systems including:, • Authentication & authorization, • Lab integrations, • TBv2, • NAPRC, • V1 V2 migration, • Participate in on-call rotation and production support., • Lead Datadog monitoring and alert tuning., • Create and maintain engineering runbooks., • Drive organization-wide best practices in:, • CI/CD, • SDLC maturity, • Infrastructure as Code, • Define, champion, and safely scale the use of AI tooling across engineering workflows to improve:, • Code quality, • Developer productivity, • Partner with Product, Customer Success, and Executives to:, • Shape product direction, including AI-powered capabilities, • Lead technical POCs, • Provide scoped estimates and architecture input, • Mentor engineers across levels in:, • Core engineering practices, • Distributed system design, • Effective use of AI tooling, • Lead onboarding and ongoing success of contractor and offshore teams., • Provide clear technical guidance, uphold code quality, and support performance feedback loops., • Backend: .NET Core, Node.js / NestJS, TypeScript, • Frontend: React, React Native, • APIs: REST, HL7, FHIR, • Data: MySQL, PostgreSQL, Non-relational databases, • Cloud: AWS, Azure, or GCP, • DevOps: CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, Git, • Monitoring: Datadog, • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building and operating production systems., • Strong expertise in backend development with modern microservice architectures., • Experience building and scaling distributed systems., • Deep experience with APIs, integrations, and data pipelines., • Strong SQL skills and working knowledge of relational and non-relational datastores., • Experience delivering cloud-native systems with Infrastructure as Code., • A track record of mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction., • Influence platform strategy, not just ship tickets., • Drive AI adoption inside real engineering workflows, not just bolt AI into the product., • Work on technology that directly improves cancer treatment outcomes., • Help scale a platform backed by top-tier healthcare investors., • Have real ownership: architecture, reliability, long-term roadmapnot just features.

Job DescriptionJob Overview: Were hiring a Product Engineer, reporting to the Director of Engineering, with strong skills in Networking, Compute, Data Storage, and Microsoft 365, plus a passion for automation and managing compute infrastructure across hardware and datacenters. At Cortavo, youll be a key platform management expert, ensuring smooth internal engineering operations while owning & developing internal tools & systems, provisioning applications, and system optimization and continually improving Cortavos full product offering. Youll drive cutting-edge tech integration, scale innovations, and shape a reliability roadmap for efficiency across on-premise, data center, and cloud environments. Accountabilities: 30% - Tooling & Process Improvement (Product Enablement) 30% - Platform Development and Management 25% - Driving Product Ownership Responsibilities: Tooling Improvement (Product Enablement) • Evaluate and Optimize technology stack to improve performance, scalability, and cost efficiency., • Serve as the subject-matter-expert for all Cortavo tools (internal and external), making sure weve got the best and use them fully., • Identify gaps in tooling and processes, and translate them into roadmap items, architectural improvements, or productized capabilities., • Define and maintain technical standards, operational best practices, and documentation that support repeatable, high-quality delivery., • Maintain accurate, current, and accessible technical documentation, conduct internal and external product demos, and ensure value of products can be demonstrated., • Stay on top of new tech and methods so the teams always using the sharpest tools and tactics., • Administer internal tools, manage access controls, and maintain comprehensive documentation for seamless operations., • Govern application change management, balancing innovation velocity with platform stability and risk management., • Drive platform security and compliance initiatives, ensuring infrastructure meets or exceeds SOC 2 and CMMC requirements by design., • Develop a product roadmap and track progress made through progress updates and quarterly delivery presentations with leadership., • Building solutions by collaborating with the many Cortavo teams to define, architect, and construct our core offering from the ground up., • Come up with tech solutions and products ready to roll out for new Cortavo services, ensuring the offering has the best possible solution for support., • Minimum 7 years of IT systems engineering experience, • Minimum 4 years of IT platform engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure roles, • Strong ability to partner with operations stakeholders to define platform needs and drive, • adoption, • Experience establishing platform governance, compliance standards, and security, • controls, • Expert knowledge of Networking and Firewalls, particularly with Cisco Meraki, • Expert knowledge in Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Exchange Online, Teams, and Microsoft, • Endpoint Manager (Intune), • Proficiency with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Datadog), • Knowledge in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform, Puppet, Ansible, • Proficiency in Microsoft Server environments, • Expertise in VMware ESXi and vSphere, • Comfortable with TypeScript and Node.js or similar back-end ecosystem, • Cloud Infrastructure (Azure, AWS) Experience, • CI/CD Pipeline Experience, • Competitive salary, as well as employer, contributed health benefits, • Hybrid work schedule, • 401k contribution, • Access to a Company cell phone plan, • A seat on an energetic team that collaborates and pushes each other to be better, • A fast-paced but cooperative environment with endless potential for growth, • Celebration events for team and Company successes throughout the year Flexible work from home options available.
