Job DescriptionDescription: The Massage Therapy and Reflexology Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to students in a professional and supportive learning environment. This role involves teaching both theoretical and practical aspects of massage therapy and reflexology, preparing lesson plans, evaluating student performance, and fostering a deep understanding of anatomy, physiology, therapeutic techniques, and wellness practices. The instructor will ensure that course content aligns with regulatory standards and current industry practices. They will also model professional behavior and ethical conduct to support students' development into competent and compassionate wellness practitioners. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Prepare for the day and execute daily lesson plans, quizzes, and exams in addition to maintaining an accurate grade book., • Attend staff meetings, job fairs, and other organization sponsored meetings and activities., • Enforce policy and procedures as set forth by the program, accreditation, campus, and corporation., • Maintain updated information concerning new advances and procedures in Massage Therapy and Reflexology through continuing education., • Professionally encourage and guide students to success in completing Massage Therapy and Reflexology program., • Assist in planning and implementing field trips and networking events in the community., • Always maintain professional appearance and attitude, while setting an example for our students., • Provide an orderly and open classroom atmosphere conducive to learning., • Provide a safe environment in the lab for students, clients, etc., • Follow OSHA and HIPAA regulations., • Deliver engaging lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on practice in massage therapy and reflexology., • Teach a range of modalities (e.g., Swedish, deep tissue, prenatal, foot reflexology, hydrotherapy)., • Integrate current research and best practices into course content., • Use a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles., • Assist in developing and updating the curriculum to ensure compliance with industry standards and licensing requirements., • Follow lesson plans, course outlines, exams, and other instructional materials., • Assess student progress through practical evaluations, written tests, and clinical performance., • Provide constructive feedback and academic support to help students succeed., • Monitor attendance, maintain records, and participate in student evaluations and progress reports., • Serve as a professional role model and support student development in ethical practices and client care., • Require repetitive movement, Standing, squatting, sitting, performing massages, writing, and typing notes, charting and documentation of sessions., • Must possess excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills., • face-to-face discussions with individuals or group settings potential students and clients., • Use of electronic mail, telephone conversations, contact with others (face-to-face, by telephone, or otherwise)., • Requires repeating the same physical activities or mental activities again; requires being exact or highly accurate., • requires meeting attendance and setting and setting an example for classroom and appointment etiquette and able to follow direction, lesson plans and meeting deadlines., • Requires work with external providers, customers and/or the public, work with others in a group or team., • Must be able to lift and carry objects at a minimum of 30 lbs., • Requires standing for long periods, demonstrating techniques, and occasional lifting of equipment., • Will be performed in various environments both (indoors in environmentally controlled and outdoors uncontrolled conditions), • Will work in various (hot, cold, indoor/outdoor) environments., • Location: Mostly on campus instruction, although you may attend events and/or field trips off site NO PHONE CALLS PLEASE AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER. Requirements: Education and Experience Requirements: • Must have at least a High School Diploma or GED., • Must have at least a minimum of 3 years of field experience in Massage Therapy and Reflexology., • Possess a current Nevada State license as a Massage Therapist., • Have BLS CPR Certification by AHA, • Instructional experience is a plus but not mandatory.
