Our Mission: To help hard-working New Yorkers build better tomorrows Our Vision: Be New York's most loved financial institution by helping our members build their best financial futures Overview: The EFT Representative is responsible for assisting in the daily operations of the department; focusing on member service standards, meeting organizational goals, and maintaining positive and professional relationships with members, peers, staff, and vendors. The department functions consist of EFT processing which includes ACH, Checking Account Drafts, SEG group payrolls account research, stop payments, and other EFT processing and back office related account issues. Responsibilities: Specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following: • Process Electronic Funds Transfer transactions, member requests, SEG payroll, checking account processing, stop payments, processing vendor supplement products which includes taking advantage of all available tools to automate processes, • Process incoming member files, repair any exception items, returns and balance the file and process for posting to members’ accounts relating to ACH, Share Draft and SEG payrolls, • Administer restrictions on member accounts reported on system, • Assist Investigate, troubleshoot, and respond to inquiries and request as needed, • Maintain industry knowledge of ACH, share draft, and other processes related to Payment Systems, including the NACHA Operating Rules and Guidelines., • Process daily work to assure deadlines are met by identifying out of balance conditions and other exceptions to processing including GL reconciliations, • Assure Regulation D, CC and E compliance and monitor any exceptions, • Process wire transactions; incoming wires, outgoing wires, wires recall and other functions associated with wires., • Handle research and adjust on accounts as needed, • Maintain sensitive and confidential information while exercising tact and diplomacy in dealing with highly sensitive, complex and confidential issues and situations, • Assist the Card Services Department with member disputes. (Partner with other internal departments to resolve member claims), • Prepare and mail correspondence for adjustments and Notice of Holds (NOH), • Work closely with other departments and ensure Federal Reserve files are handled daily, • Advise of potential legal issues or credit union risk exposure, • Work with SEG group payroll departments to post incoming payroll correctly, • Respond in a timely manner to department tasks and workflow balance within Right Time Technology (RNT) assigned functions, • Foster all team culture within the department by providing open lines of communication and cooperation between all areas, • Cultivate strong working relationships and builds trust among team members, • Comply with departments’ policies and procedures comply with all Federal, State, and network rules and regulations, develop expertise, and maintain internal controls of the various systems, responding to changes as needed to assure efficient workflow, maintain sensitive and confidential information; exercise tact and diplomacy in dealing with highly sensitive, complex and confidential issues and situations, maintains appropriate operating controls to mitigate risk., • Participate in schedule regular staff meetings, • Overtime as required., • Travel as required, • Ability to perform in a high-volume environment and meet deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail., • Technologically proficient.
