Guardian’s experienced Data Center Services Team plans, manages and executes the complete scope of every data center / office environment project from start to finish, such as onsite Decomissioning, Data Destruction (HDD Shredding), Audits, Erasure, Packaging & Logistics, Installations, & migrations, at client sites across the country. What does the role involve? • The Field Service Technician is responsible for performing all service activities conducted at client locations nationwide. These activities may include:, • Equipment De-Installation, • Physically de-racking and/or re-racking of Network, Storage, Server assets (Rack & Stack), • Cable Removal – within Rack, above and below racks, • Rack Removals, • Data eradication, • Packing and palletizing equipment to be transferred, • Working in cooperation with the Tech team on the ground and under the supervision of the Project Manager, • High school diploma required, • Some college is preferred, • Minimum of 3 years of experience in one or more of the following, • Server de-installations, • Server management, • IT equipment de-installations, • IT Hardware management, • Erasure – Experience in wiping hard drives utilizing 3rd party software such as Blancco or EPS is a plus., • Excellent PC Skills – MS Office with an emphasis on Excel, Outlook, Teams and Word., • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to follow instructions and work efficiently under supervision, • Can-Do Attitude, with a professional demeanor, • Effective communication and people skills, • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to security protocols when handling sensitive information or equipment., • Willingness to travel domestically to client locations, sometimes with overnight stays, • Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance on the 1st of the month after 30 days of employment, • 401k plan with a company match, • Company paid life, disability and accidental death & dismemberment insurance, • Employee assistance program, • Generous paid time off, plus company holidays, • Company-paid employee uniforms, • Guaranteed weekly hours, • Weekly pay periods with direct deposit Guardian partners with ITADs, MSPs, Resellers and Value-Added Resellers (VARs) to deliver best-in-class onsite asset disposition services.
