Job Description Job Summary The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Operations provides executive leadership and strategic direction for the company’s Dedicated Fleet division. This role is responsible for ensuring operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and profitability within all dedicated transportation accounts. The SVP drives continuous improvement across fleet utilization, driver performance, and service delivery while fostering long-term customer relationships and advancing the company’s reputation as a premier provider of dedicated logistics solutions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Lead and oversee all Dedicated Fleet operations nationwide, ensuring performance meets or exceeds customer expectations and contractual commitments., • Develop and execute operational strategies that improve service consistency, fleet efficiency, and driver retention across multiple customer accounts., • Partner with executive leadership and business development teams to expand the Dedicated Fleet network and strengthen customer partnerships., • Oversee account management, terminal operations, maintenance planning, and dispatch performance to deliver superior reliability and on-time service., • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cost control, driver turnover, on-time delivery, fleet utilization, and safety., • Champion a strong culture of safety and compliance, ensuring adherence to DOT/FMCSA regulations, company policies, and industry best practices., • Provide leadership and mentorship to regional and terminal leaders, building a high-performance culture focused on accountability and customer success., • Collaborate with Finance, HR, and Maintenance to align staffing, compensation, and asset management with operational and financial goals., • Partner closely with customers on continuous improvement initiatives, network optimization, and strategic planning for future growth., • Drive innovation in technology adoption, sustainability practices, and digital fleet management to enhance operational capabilities., • Oversee annual budget planning, forecasting, and P&L performance for all dedicated operations., • Develop and implement standardized processes across all dedicated sites to ensure consistency, scalability, and operational excellence., • Represent the company at executive-level customer meetings, industry conferences, and professional associations to strengthen relationships and brand visibility., • Perform other related duties as assigned to support company goals and strategic initiatives. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred., • Minimum of 10–15 years of progressive leadership experience in transportation operations, with a focus on Dedicated Fleet management and customer contract operations., • Proven track record overseeing large, multi-customer Dedicated Fleet networks with P&L accountability., • Strong understanding of driver management, asset utilization, and contract performance metrics within dedicated trucking environments., • Deep knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations, transportation safety programs, and operational compliance., • Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage effectively across all organizational levels and with customers., • Demonstrated ability to lead teams through change, drive continuous improvement, and enhance customer value., • Proficiency in Transportation Management Systems (TMS), fleet technology platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite., • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on strategic execution and measurable outcomes., • Ability to travel frequently to customer sites, regional offices, and corporate locations as needed.
