Job Description AEGIS Special Systems, LLC is currently seeking Low-Voltage Technicians to join our growing team of professionals! We have open positions for individuals experienced in the installation, service and repair of the following commercial low-voltage systems: Fire Alarm | Access Control | Camera Surveillance | Intrusion Detection | Network & Fiber Optic Cabling | Public Address | AV | Automated Gates & Parking. These are full-time, long-term positions. (unassisted), working on a ladder and/or lift at high altitudes, bending, squatting, climbing, twisting, kneeling, reaching above and below shoulder level continuously, as well as accessing and working within crawl, plenum and other confined spaces., • Experienced with Scissor/Boom Lift Operation, • Ability to satisfactorily pass pre-employment and random, background and drug tests., • Licensing/Certifications: Texas Private Security License, • Preferred Additional Licensing/Certifications:, • Texas Fire Alarm Technician License;, • New Mexico Journeyman (ES-3J) License,, • Certified Fiber Optic Technician (FOA CFOT); and/or, • OSHA 30, • Must have 2+ years (verifiable) prior experience in commercial low-voltage system installation, service and repair., • Knowledge of and ability to apply local building and fire codes to system installations., • Computer Skills, • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, schematics, specifications & submittals., • Ability to wear personal protective equipment as required by each jobsite and as established by company safety protocols., • High School Diploma or Equivalent, • Electronics Training/Certifications, are a plus, • Driver’s License (excellent driving record preferred / must be insurable), • 8 Hour Shift, typically 8 a.m.-5 p.m. (Monday-Friday), • Occasional night, overtime, and weekend work, • On-Call Availability, on a rotating basis, will be required, • Install, service, repair and upgrade various low-voltage systems.
