Job DescriptionJob Title: Maintenance Technician Job Description The Experienced Maintenance Technician is responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of manufacturing equipment, facility systems, and production support equipment. This role requires advanced technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation systems to ensure maximum equipment uptime, safety, and operational efficiency. Responsibilities • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control system failures., • Perform troubleshooting of production equipment, automation systems, PLCs, VFDs, motors, sensors, and industrial controls., • Conduct preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities according to established schedules., • Install, modify, and upgrade manufacturing equipment and facility systems., • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals., • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring equipment failures., • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime., • Collaborate with production personnel to identify and resolve equipment-related issues., • Support new equipment installations, commissioning, and validation activities., • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, productivity, and safety., • Maintain facility systems including HVAC, compressed air systems, plumbing, and building infrastructure., • Monitor and maintain utility systems to ensure reliable operation., • Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors as needed., • Complete maintenance work orders and documentation within the CMMS system., • Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance activities., • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and applicable codes., • Participate in safety audits, inspections, and training programs., • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Maintenance Technicians and Maintenance Apprentices., • Assist in developing maintenance procedures and best practices., • Participate in cross-functional teams to improve equipment reliability and maintenance processes.Essential Skills, • 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment., • High School Diploma or GED required., • Technical degree, trade school certification, or equivalent military experience preferred., • Strong knowledge of electrical systems up to 480V preferred., • Experience troubleshooting automated manufacturing equipment., • Mechanical systems repair and troubleshooting., • Electrical troubleshooting and diagnostics., • Pneumatic and hydraulic systems maintenance., • PLC, HMI, VFD, and industrial automation troubleshooting.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Welding, fabrication, and machining skills preferred., • CMMS software experience., • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment., • Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills., • Strong attention to detail., • Effective communication and teamwork., • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision., • Commitment to safety and continuous improvement., • Strong organizational and time-management skills.Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a manufacturing and industrial environment with exposure to moving machinery, noise, dust, and varying temperatures. The use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required. The position requires the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, work at heights, and in confined spaces. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or on-call schedules is necessary. The facility offers electric charging stations and is located in Mesa, Arizona. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tempe, AZ 85282. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $40.00/hr.
