American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Phoenix, Arizona. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Telemetry, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 10/27/2025, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, nights, • Work in a Level 1 trauma acute care hospital on the Neuro Acute Epilepsy Monitoring unit (6N), • Unit features 48 beds including 10 epilepsy specialty rooms, • Care for adult neuro patients including epilepsy, brain tumors, TBI, subdural hematoma, scoliosis surgeries, and other neurological diagnoses, • Patient ratio is 1:4 on both day and night shifts, • 12-hour night shifts (7:00pm-7:00am) with a requirement of three weekend shifts per four-week period, • Rotation includes working two out of four major holidays, • Self-scheduling is available, • Float to Med/Surg or Telemetry units may be required, • Uses Cerner EMR, • Specialized monitoring procedures such as 24-48 hour Trend EEGs, • Bipap use with RT managing, SWAT RN available for difficult IVs, and PCT support provided, • IV Team and RT available 24/7, hospitalist and intensivist in house during days, • Role requires frequent assessments for subtle neuro changes and expertise in cranial nerve assessment, • Nurses are expected to maintain sterile technique for common procedures; failure during SIMs Lab results in termination, • Travelers must have natural hair color, no facial piercings, and men must be clean-shaven for fit testing, • Scrub color is steel (Greys Anatomy/steel color), • Mandatory holiday coverage is based on rotation, • Testing includes lifts, restraints, and wound care education during orientation, • First-day pass/fail skills testing is required, • First-time travelers are accepted, • Travelers must have their own vehicle\n \n Requirements\n, • Active, unencumbered AZ or compact RN license required and must be in hand at submission, • Minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience in Level 1 trauma neuro or telemetry setting, • Current ACLS and BLS certifications required, • Competence in telemetry and strong critical thinking and neuro assessment skills required, • Must pass Relias Dysrhythmia exam prior to offer, with two attempts allowed, • Must pass a Day 1 SIMs Lab competency for Foley insertion and central line dressing change, • BSN preferred but not required, • Experience with Cerner charting preferred, • Certified Med-Surg or Tele preferred, • Must provide a copy of driver's license for address verification, • Must provide professional references as specified, • Candidate must live at least 50 miles from the facility as verified by driver’s license, • Must not have worked for CommonSpirit, CHI or Dignity Health facilities in the past year\n Benefits\n, • High Pay and Bonuses, • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options, • 401(k) Plan, • Weekly Payroll Deposit, • Free Online CEUs, • Generous Housing Allowance, • Travel and Licensure Reimbursements, • Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
