The Physician Assistant, Specialty is responsible for promoting and maintaining health by providing medical services under the supervision of a Cardiologist and/or other physician. The Physician Assistant, Specialty incumbent must demonstrate the ability to function both independently and in collaboration with other health care professionals. He/She consults with the clinical leadership team to ensure compliance with guidelines. This position may require participation in risk and quality management programs, clinical meetings and other meetings. The Physician Assistant, Specialty incumbent adheres to strict departmental goals/objectives, standards of performance, regulatory compliance, quality patient care compliance, and policies and procedures. Functions independently as a certified nurse practitioner in collaboration and consultation with a licensed patient care team physician. Practices in accordance with a written or electronic collaborative practice agreement. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: • Contributes to physician's effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range patient care issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; implementing physician directives., • Assesses patient health by interviewing patients; performing physical examinations; obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories., • Determines abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, electrocardiograms, echocardiograms and laboratory studies; interpreting test results., • Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records., • Performs therapeutic procedures by administering injections and immunizations; suturing; managing wounds and infections., • Instructs and counsels patients by describing therapeutic regimens; giving normal growth and development information; discussing family planning; providing counseling on emotional problems of daily living; promoting wellness and health maintenance., • Provides continuity of care by developing and implementing patient management plans., • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations., • Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols., • Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions., • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies., • Develops health care team staff by providing information, educational opportunities, and experiential growth opportunities., • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed., • Cardiology duties include identifying and managing cardiology patients, ordering appropriate cardiology diagnostic tests, and administering cardiology specific therapeutic interventions as needed, • Other duties as assigned and modified at manager’s discretion., • Demonstrated record of consistently achieving clinical performance metrics in current role, • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, • Time management skills with the ability to work well under pressure, • Must be caring and empathetic and have great listening skills, • Must be detail-oriented, and able to pay close attention to patient charts, medications, and follow-up on details of patient care, • Basic computer skills and some knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, database, and presentation software, • Ability and willingness to travel locally, regionally and nationwide up to 75% of the time, • Spoken and written fluency in English, bilingual a plus, • This job requires use and exercise of independent judgment, • Master’s Degree required, • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required, • Current DEA number from the DEA for schedule II-V controlled substances may be required based on State of practice, • A minimum of 3 years experience working in Cardiology as a Physician Assistant in an out-patient clinical setting We’re ChenMed and we’re transforming healthcare for seniors and changing America’s healthcare for the better. Overview: MasTec Civil is hiring a seasoned Construction Project Manager near Jacksonville, FL! The Project Manager bears the full responsibility to oversee that the construction is performed according to specification, in the most efficient manner according to schedule and under budget. For this to happen the Project Manager is expected, among other things, to follow all project related procedures and of most importance, company policy. To accomplish these expectations the following procedures and guidelines have been established to facilitate the process. Responsibilities: • Planning and Scheduling: Make a thorough study of the project to be performed. Discuss your plans, schedules, and details. Determine your best course of action and continue planning throughout the project for possible improvements. Roads, Lay Down Areas, Tool Cribs, Insurance & Bonds, Safety & First Aid., • Project Coordination: The Project Manager is the Company’s top representative at the project. Thus, the Project Manager shall attend all progress meetings with the Owner/Engineer and ensure that all required documents are submitted to the Owner in a timely manner. The Project Manager should conduct internal scheduling meetings with the Superintendents, Foremen and Subcontractors on a regular basis in order to properly coordinate work areas, labor, equipment, material and survey needs. In addition, it is expected that Pre-Activity Meetings be conducted prior to significant items of work (ie. Asphalt, concrete deck placements, girder/beam erection, traffic shifts, etc.) to discuss the responsibilities, means & methods (equipment, labor, etc.), MOT requirements, safety aspect, quality control requirements, etc., • Personnel Selection: The Main Office and HR Department will assist you in selecting key members of your management team. Personnel selection for all other project level employees will be your responsibility. The Project Manager should coordinate the projects staffing needs with the Human Resources Department. As the head of the field office, the Project Manager is responsible to ensure that that the company policies are enforced., • The Project Manager is responsible for the supervision of the Project Engineer and other engineer staff. The Project Manager should coordinate with the Project Engineer the hiring of outside Specialty Engineers for items of work that require highly technical analysis. As part of the management of the engineering staff, the Project Manager should serve as a mentor to young engineers assigned to the project., • Contract Documents: Familiarize yourself with your contract, specifications, plans, addendums, revisions, special provisions, permits, utility relocation schedules, etc. Know what is required for each item of work and how you get paid for the same. Be aware of any situation that entitles you to extra pay or warrants documentation for the initiation of a possible claim., • Project Manager must review and approve all invoices, subcontractor payments and timesheets prior to processing at the Main Office. Study each cost report in detail and note all variances in costs from estimates., • Cost Control: The Project Manager is responsible for the project’s budget and discuss with the Estimator all variances noted. The Project Manager shall understand the pay item estimate work sheets and communicate the information to the supervisors. Evaluate the cost effectiveness of the procedures in place and replace all those that are deemed ineffective. Take all necessary measures to avoid unplanned occurrences that mighty increase cost, such as accidents and injuries, equipment abuse, etc. Ensure that change orders and/or claims are properly documented, prepared and submitted to the Owner in a timely manner. Review and approve all budget changes and cost transfers. The Project Manager shall provide a monthly Project Status Report to accompany the monthly cost report. The Project Manager shall ensure that the monthly cost reports are reflective of the actual field performance. Cost reports shall have accurate quantities and projections., • Subcontractor/ Vendor Management: The Project Manager is responsible for the negotiations of subcontractors and vendors. Ensure that all subcontractors and vendors are paid in a timely manner in accordance with subcontract requirements and internal company procedures. Manage the subcontractor and vendor claims, change orders and disputes., • Documentation: Proper documentation is essential for the benefit of the Project and the Company. Ensure that all project team members (Superintendents, Engineers, Subcontractors) are submitting their required documentations (ie. Daily reports, accident reports, T&M Sheets, etc.). The Project Manager shall keep a detailed daily Diary of the project. Ensure that project photos and meeting minutes are being taken and filed accordingly. The Project Manager shall notify the client should a project record (ie meeting minutes) are inaccurate and/or incomplete., • Public Relations: The Project Manager is our top official on any project and therefore handles most negotiations, at least in the preliminary stages. Your integrity and performance of these duties reflect on our entire company, therefore, you are expected to conduct yourself in an honest, congenial, businesslike manner whereby your actions would be respected by your peers and the general business community., • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, • Minimum 10 years’ experience in the heavy construction industry. Must have bridge, roadwork, and DOT experience., • PMP Certification preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities • A demonstrated understanding of construction means, and methods associated with the heavy construction industry, • Strong team leadership project management skills., • Experience in leading multi-disciplined teams., • Ability to direct the work of subcontractors in order to achieve project goals., • Computer knowledge musts: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook, Project scheduling - P-3 at minimum., • Ability to maintain onsite project documentation., • Ability to schedule and coordinate all site work., • Must be well organized and detail oriented., • Ability to multitask and manage multiple sites., • Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications., • Excellent verbal and written communication skills., • Ability to interact with people on all levels ensuring that all external and internal communication is carried out to a high standard., • Highly motivated, driven and results oriented, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Responsibilities The registered nurse (RN) is accountable for the coordination of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care. The RN supports professional nursing practice across practice settings and across the continuum of care to meet the needs of the patient and family. The RN will function within the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model, which includes accountability for planning, implementing, evaluating and communicating all phases of nursing care for assigned patients. The ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice provide a basis for the practice of the RN. The RN provides leadership through activities such as preceptor role, informal and formal leadership roles, and quality improvement efforts. The RN delegates patient care according to skill level, experience, patient acuity, fiscal accountability and availability of resources. The RN possesses excellent communication skills; is skillful in mentoring and teaching; and may participate on committees or projects. A subset of employees may be required to drive their personal vehicle as a part of the responsibility of their role. Qualifications Graduate of a baccalaureate nursing program. One year of RN experience in an applicable care setting or one year of LPN experience at Mayo Clinic is preferred. Additional Qualifications: Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Experience working in a team environment. Computer skills required, prior experience with electronic medical record systems preferred. Ability to work flexible hours, which may include days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends and on-call. Ability to adapt to unpredictable situations within the work setting. Demonstrated leadership, effective communicator, and excellent critical thinking skills. License and Certifications: Current RN license by applicable state requirements. Arizona and Florida - Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) competency. Midwest - Maintains current Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers from one of the following programs: American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
