Job Description Kindergarten Teacher Location: Glendale Job Type: Full-time, Contract Salary Range: $46,000-$52,000 per year HOW YOU WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE AT SUN VALLEY ACADEMY As the Kindergarten Teacher, job duties and responsibilities include but not limited to the following: • Provide academic instruction aligned to Arizona State Standards, • Prepare and deliver instruction appropriate to the grade level that includes different learning styles, abilities, and interests in accordance with state standards., • Utilize school adopted systems of practice for curriculum, instruction, and assessment including, but not limited to: Beyond Textbooks, Spalding, data submission, and testing protocols., • Prior knowledge of Spalding, and Beyond Textbooks, and data driven instruction a plus., • Assess student progress towards learning targets, objectives, expectations, and/or goals for the purpose of providing feedback to students, parents/guardians, and administration., • Use available technology to enhance student learning., • Communicate learning goals to students and parents or guardians in a well-planned and organized manner., • Use school and state assessment data to inform instruction., • Establish classroom routines and procedures in a positive manner conducive to effective instruction., • Effectively implement student goals outlined in 504 Plans and IEPs., • Participate in grade level and/or school wide professional learning activities., • Document and proactively attempt to resolve issues related to student behavior and/or attendance., • Reflect continually on teaching and professional practice., • Supervise classroom and/or other students in the school in adherence with state laws., • Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by the school and law., • Participate in school-wide events, scheduled meetings, and parent conferences., • Perform other job duties as assigned.
