Position Overview Zedcor is seeking a Director Cyber Security & IT to lead the companys cybersecurity program and oversee internal IT operations across a rapidly growing technology environment.This role is responsible for the strategic direction, implementation, and continuous improvement of Zedcors cybersecurity posture, SOC2 compliance program, and internal IT infrastructure. The Director will work closely with the Cyber Security Manager and lead a team of IT professionals supporting corporate systems and users. The successful candidate will bring deep experience leading SOC2 Type 1 and Type 2 audits, strong expertise in Microsoft 365 and Azure security architecture, and hands-on knowledge of enterprise infrastructure including server environments, virtualization platforms, and modern containerized systems.This position is critical to ensuring the security, compliance, scalability, and operational reliability of Zedcors platform supporting large-scale surveillance and monitoring operations. Key Responsibilities • Lead and mature Zedcors enterprise cybersecurity program and governance framework, • Own and manage the companys SOC2 Type 1 and Type 2 compliance program, • Act as primary liaison with external auditors and security assessors, • Develop, maintain, and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures, • Ensure effective implementation and monitoring of security controls across all systems, • Lead incident response planning, coordination, and post-incident reviews, • Drive continuous improvement of Zedcors overall security posture, • Own and manage Zedcors Microsoft security ecosystem including:, • Microsoft Defender (XDR), • Microsoft Entra (Identity & Access Management), • Microsoft Purview (Compliance & Data Governance), • Microsoft Intune (Device & Endpoint Management), • Design and enforce Conditional Access policies and Zero Trust architecture, • Oversee identity lifecycle management including MFA, RBAC, and privileged access, • Monitor and respond to security alerts and incidents across Microsoft platforms, • Oversee corporate IT systems, infrastructure, and end-user technology, • Manage enterprise infrastructure including:, • Windows and Linux server environments, • Server infrastructure lifecycle, patching, and hardening, • Virtualization platforms including VMware, • vCenter Server administration, • High Availability (HA) management and optimization, • Veeam Backup & Replication administration, • Disaster Recovery (DR) design, testing, and execution, • Kubernetes and containerized application environments, • Ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of internal systems, • Establish and enforce IT operational standards and best practices, • Lead and mentor a team including:, • Cyber Security Manager, • IT Technicians, • Set priorities, manage workloads, and ensure high-quality service delivery, • Build and scale the IT and security team as the organization grows, • Lead risk management, vulnerability management, and remediation programs, • Oversee business continuity and enterprise risk planning initiatives, • Ensure ongoing compliance with security frameworks and regulatory requirements Qualifications & Requirements • 15+ years of experience in cybersecurity, IT operations, or enterprise infrastructure, • Direct experience leading SOC2 Type 1 and Type 2 audits - You must have personally owned a SOC2 Type 2 audit end-to-end, • Strong expertise in Microsoft 365 and Azure security architecture, • Hands-on experience with:, • Microsoft Defender (XDR), • Microsoft Entra (identity and access management), • Microsoft Purview (compliance and governance), • Microsoft Intune (endpoint/device management), • Experience managing Windows and Linux server environments, • Experience administering VMware environments including vCenter and HA, • Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity systems, • Proven leadership experience managing technical teams, • Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, and compliance, • Excellent communication and leadership skills Preferred Qualifications • Experience supporting SOC2 compliance in high-growth technology organizations, • Experience working in high-availability, distributed infrastructure environments, • Familiarity with security monitoring and incident response platforms Compensation & Benefits Salary Range: $160,000 $180,000 per year Zedcor offers a competitive compensation package including: • Performance-based bonus program, • Full health, dental, and vision benefits paid by Zedcor.
