POSITION SUMMARY The Contract 1099 Driver will play a critical role in safely and efficiently transporting our fleet to and from customers and outside yard's locations across the United States. This position will report to the Logistics and be responsible for operating a Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV),and maintaining compliance with all applicable DOT guidelines and regulations. RESPONSIBILITIES • Safely operating any motor vehicle in compliance with all traffic laws and according to varying traffic and road conditions, • Ensuring compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and DOT guidelines, including Logbook requirements when applicable, • Providing excellent customer service to PTR customers throughout the entire transport process, • Performing thorough pre-and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition., • Maintaining the cleanliness and integrity of the vehicle and equipment, reporting any necessary repairs or maintenance needed, • Ensuring that all required paperwork is properly completed and carried on the vehicle., • Properly securing tow car hook up prior to transit, in compliance with all applicable regulations REQUIREMENTS MUST HAVE • Possession of a valid driver's license, • Ability to drive a manual transmission, • High School Diploma, G.E.D., or Equivalent, • Must be at least 25 years of age., • Ability to lift 50 lbs., • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including overnights and weekends., • Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines., • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and Driver History Report COMPENSATION: This position offers a competitive compensation package, benchmarked to regional market standards, consisting of a CPM ranging from $1.10 to $2.04 depending on location and transportation. NICE TO HAVE • CDL, • Ability to work in varying working conditions, including inclement weather and other unforeseen working conditions., • Experience operating a vehicle in a variety of surroundings, including city and highway traffic flows as well as extended distances between destinations., • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to maintain proactive and open communication with all team members.
