Job DescriptionBenefits: • 403(b), • Bonus based on performance, • Flexible schedule, • Savings bank, • Training & development We currently have a full-time employment opportunity to serve parents and children within our community by developing homemaker and effective parenting skills to support healthy family relationships. Essential Functions: The paraprofessional provides services to families and children involved DCS/Probation. Services will be provided in the familys home, a community site, or in the office (if approved by DCS/Probation), and in the course of assisting with transportation, accompanying the parent(s) during errands necessary to work towards/accomplish goals ex: job search. Services must be compatible with the established DCS/Probation case plan and authorized by the DCS/Probation referral. Paraprofessional staff assist the family through advocating, teaching, demonstrating, monitoring, and/or role modeling new, appropriate skills for coping with the following areas in an effort to build self-sufficiency: Job Duties: Document and maintain records of clients' progress. Gather information about community resources that could be used in conjunction with other services to support successful parenting and homemaker skills Conduct initial assessments and refer clients to internal or community resources as necessary. Ensure accurate and ethically appropriate billing related to services are provided. Maintain confidentiality of records relating to the clients treatment. Provide clinical documentation and assure that all filing of clinical information and submission of billing information is done accurately and within the time frame required. Maintain compliance with all federal and state regulations and standards, including DCS regulations. The Paraprofessional is responsible for overseeing: Time Management Child Development, care of children, child safety and child nutrition Health Care Community Resourcing Transportation that is goal directed and part of approved case plan (i.e. housing search) Identifying support systems Problem solving Family reunification/preservation Resource management/budgeting Home management Parenting Skills Housing Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED At least 21 years of age Must possess a valid driver's license, reliable transportation to transport self and others, and car insurance coverage Ability to maintain confidentiality of all appropriate information. Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently, orally and in writing Be able to provide factual feedback to the Department of Child Services/Probation or the courts in person, telehealth and in writing. Ability to meet a family in a non-biased strengths-based format either in the home, community, or office setting. Ability to develop a goal-oriented plan of treatment Develop a consistent schedule of interaction A belief in the family preservation philosophy Have strong verbal and written communication skills
