Job Description Home Infusion Travel Nurse – Full-Time Purpose Statement The Home Infusion Travel Nurse is responsible for delivering high-quality infusion therapy to patients in de novo locations across various regions. This full-time role involves traveling 50-75% of the time to provide direct patient care. The nurse will adhere to best clinical practices, ensuring patient safety, satisfaction, and compliance with all relevant guidelines. This position reports to the VP of Home Infusion Services & Infusion Director of Operations. Educational Requirements Required: Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma Preferred: Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) Licensure & Certification Requirements Required: • Active RN License in the state of practice (Multi-state license also needed) Required: • Minimum two years of home infusion nursing experience., • Proficiency in administering various infusion therapies, including IVIG, Remicade, Monoclonal antibodies, IV antibiotics, immunoglobulins, TPN, etc., • Excellent patient education and communication skills, capable of explaining complex medical concepts in understandable terms., • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to work autonomously in varied settings., • Travel 50-75% of the time to assigned de novo locations to provide home infusion services, including assessments, care coordination, and infusion therapy administration., • Perform comprehensive patient assessments to determine infusion needs, verify physician orders, and customize care plans to each patient’s condition., • Monitor and respond to patient reactions during infusion and adjust care as necessary to ensure patient safety., • Educate patients and caregivers on infusion care procedures, troubleshooting, and potential side effects., • Develop and participate in educational initiatives for infusion nurses, including hands-on training, mentorship, and continuous education programs as needed., • Assist with special projects as assigned, such as competency validation, policy updates, POT management, scheduling, on-call, or the development of patient education materials as needed.., • Actively participate in quality improvement activities, contributing to Dynamic Infusion’s mission to set industry-leading standards in patient care., • Ensure all care complies with state regulations, nursing standards, and company policies, maintaining accurate and detailed patient records., • Document all clinical notes and patient interactions in the electronic medical record (EMR) system promptly and accurately., • Adhere to infection control protocols and standard operating procedures to maintain a safe and sanitary care environment., • Work closely with the Clinical Operations team, providing feedback from field experiences to inform clinical policies, patient education, and staff training., • Communicate effectively with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and outcomes., • The primary setting is patients’ homes, where the nurse administers infusions and provides education and support to patients and caregivers., • Frequent air and ground travel (50-75%) is required to cover locations across various regions, sometimes on short notice.
