Job Description: Leads the Product Integration (PI) Team in Product Design and Development (PDD) to integrate new products, product options, processes and parts into Nautique’s manufacturing and production operations. Works closely with Nautique’s Operations Department leadership including Production Management, Materials Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance Management. Manages PDD support to Operations issues from beginning to end. Key Responsibilities: • Establishes and maintains relationships with Operations leadership to include managers, supervisors, and manufacturing engineers to support efficient and effective engineering and design intent execution., • Leads PDD planning, execution and introduction of new products, product options, parts and processes into Production., • Leads bi-weekly PDD-Production Team meetings in coordination with the PDD Program Manager; manages task assignment and completion from these meetings., • Ensures PI Team has necessary information and training to execute training and introduction of new products, product options, and processes to support new product integration and model year changes in Production., • Creates and manages processes to collaboratively develop and execute solutions to Production challenges and opportunities requiring PDD support; ensures stakeholder visibility., • Fosters creation and maintenance of systems, processes, and workflows to enable engineering or design change management for the initiation, completion, and handoff of changes to Production., • Manages engineering or design change execution from initiation to completion, with all stakeholders (e.g. Materials Department, Quality, Production management, Engineering, Design, etc.)., • Leads coordination of engineering support to the development and documentation of jigs, fixtures, braces, dollies, skins and other manufacturing aids to support production of new parts and products in Production., • Represents PDD and attends the daily Operations Team Meeting to communicate information on PDD activities and efforts that may affect Operations; identifies needs for PDD support and coordinates and communicates PDD responses to those needs; communicates information and insights from meetings to PDD., • Participates in new product development and advises on opportunities for Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA)., • Facilitates PDD support to Production work instructions., • Monitors and supports design intent execution in Production through coordinated audits and Gemba walks with Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, and Production management., • Solicits and coordinates input from Production to aid in development of new products and parts., • Leads PDD support to continuous improvement initiatives in Production through coordination of Engineering, Design, or other PDD support., • Maintains accountability and location of PDD mules, engineering boats, static decks, etc. assets and finished goods held by PDD., • Supports Off-site Boat Use, coordinating with PDD Project Coordinator according to policy.Requirements: Skills and Abilities for Success in this Position: • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to work closely with all members of the organization., • Strong facilitation, presentation, and training skills., • Excellent organization and project management skills., • Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment., • Strong analytical, conceptual, and critical thinking skills., • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills., • Ability to manage competing tasks and demands dynamically with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events., • Ability to make sound judgments and exercise initiative to establish priorities, meet deadlines, and make decisions/choices within the functional area of responsibility with minimal direct supervision., • Ability to work well in a team environment with all departments within the Company., • Ability to promote and display the highest standards of ethics and practices both internally and externally as an agent of Nautique Boat Company., • Ability to focus on continuous improvement and learning., • Maintain a positive work atmosphere and interaction with customers, co-workers, and management., • BS degree in Engineering or relevant field., • 5 to 8 years of manufacturing experience., • Experience with Product Data Management (PDM) workflows and processes, as well as CAD software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar., • Basic understanding of ERP/MRP systems, as well as configuration of Engineering and Manufacturing Bills of Material (BOM)., • Experience in engineering management processes and techniques., • Experience in computer-aided manufacturing software and CNC routing., • Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed outside air temperature occasionally., • Must be able to bend at the waist and knees and stand for extended periods of time., • Must be able to lift 25 pounds when necessary., • This is a safety-sensitive position.
