This role in summary Whirlipool is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Senior Process Manufacturing Engineer opening to join our KitchenAid organization. This role is onsite at our Greenville, Ohio location. You will serve as a project leader and technical resource in the development and application of CNC (computerized numerical control) equipment, Automation, Conveyors, Polishers required to fabricate our internal parts across a variety of backshop processes. You will be responsible for cost and quality improvements and supporting daily operations to achieve division goals. Our location is 40 miles from Dayton, Ohio and 100 miles less from Columbus and Cinnanti, OH. Relocation is available for eligible candidates. Your responsibilities will include \n • Identify, analyze and solve manufacturing process issues and equipment related problems to continuously improve Business KPIs results for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People.\n, • Drive machine shop process improvements through the use of lean manufacturing concepts and tools.\n, • Work and lead the improvements in the equipment to achieve our OEE ( Overall Equipment Effectiveness) Targets required to achieve our volume goals\n, • Provide technical support to technicians and work teams and serve as technical resource for the department.\n, • Support the day to day operations\n, • Scope, order and assure proper implementation of new processes & equipment;\n, • Determine root cause of problems and implement corrective & preventive actions utilizing methods from lean manufacturing and Six Sigma.\n, • Direct cross functional process improvement projects with the assistance of team members from all aspects of the division.\n, • Analyze, evaluate and document standards according to quality system requirements such as Standard operating procedures, Control Plans, and FMEAs\n, • Provide a critical link between the department and other process partners such as product design, assembly, paint, maintenance, safety, quality, etc.\n, • Initiate problem solving and conduct root cause analysis working with the team.\n, • Implement cost saving projects and special assignments as required\n\n Minimum requirements \n • Bachelor's Degree\n, • 2+ years of Manufacturing experience in an Engineering role\n\n Preferred skills and experiences \n • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering\n, • Backshop experience (CNC, Automation, Polishers, Robots etc)\n, • Strong knowledge of lean principles and the ability to apply them in order to establish and/or improve processes\n, • Working knowledge of GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing)\n, • Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the specific ability to act as a team leader and interact at all layers within the organization\n, • Strong mechanical knowledge\n, • Excellent planning, project management and leadership skills\n, • Strong communication, presentation and facilitation skills\n, • Experience in a manufacturing related environment with a good understanding of plant operations\n, • Solid decision-making and judgment skills\n, • Controls and robotics experience \n, • Proven problem solving skills - Knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies RSRWH\n\n What we offer Generous benefits package, Whirlpool employee discount, fitness & educational reimbursement programs, kitchenettes, and more!
