Those stories are part of what makes this such a special place to work. \n Job Overview \n The Maintenance Engineer II maintains the physical structure and equipment of the store, ensuring they remain in good working order. Responsibilities include performing preventative maintenance as well as emergency, corrective, and routine repairs on electrical, mechanical, fire/life safety, plumbing, and HVAC systems. \n Full-time colleagues are typically scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week, while part-time colleagues are typically scheduled 12-24 hours per week. Hours are dependent on business needs and colleague availability. Information regarding hours per week needed for benefit eligibility purposes can be found here. \n What We Can Offer You \n\n • Maintain HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and fire/life safety systems, along with associated equipment, to maximize efficiency.\n, • Perform emergency, corrective, and routine repairs on HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and fire/life safety systems, ensuring optimal functionality.\n, • Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment and systems according to the established schedule.\n, • Keep accurate records of all inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as local fire marshal requirements.\n, • Maintain EPA Universal Certification and stay updated on all relevant legislation, including EPA regulations and South Coast Air Quality District regulations related to “CFC” and refrigerant handling laws.\n, • Follow shortage control programs and procedures.\n, • Demonstrate consistent attendance and punctuality.\n, • In addition to the essential duties mentioned above, other duties may be assigned.\n, • This position requires heavy lifting, constant moving, remaining in a stationary position, and reaching with arms and hands. \n, • Involves remaining in a stationary position for at least two consecutive hours, lifting at least 50 lbs. stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders\n, • May involve reaching above eye level\n, • Requires close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment\n, • Able to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and during emergency situations, based on department and company needs\n, • Merchandise discounts\n, • Performance-based incentives\n, • Annual merit review\n \n \n This job description is not all-inclusive and may not apply to colleagues covered by a collective bargaining agreement.
