We’re seeking a pre-opening Director of Sales and Marketing to lead the sales efforts of a 165-key independent lifestyle hotel in Cincinnati’s Central Business District. The property will feature multiple food and beverage outlets and approximately 20,000 square feet of meeting and event space. Job Summary The Director of Sales & Marketing will lead the development and execution of comprehensive Sales & Marketing strategies that integrate various channels and sales segments to drive revenue growth, promote brand awareness, and guest engagement. The DOSM must demonstrate strong self-management and self-leadership skills, anticipating the needs of stakeholders, proactively addressing gaps and shortfalls in budgets, and continually evolving sales & marketing practices to remain relevant and drive results. The Director of Sales & Marketing will have direct oversight and leadership of Sales Managers, Marketing Managers and/or agencies, Conference Services Managers, and Sales Coordinators. What you'll do: • Responsible for the development of the Sales and Marketing Budget, Expenses, and annual Sales & Marketing plan, • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to integrate sales & marketing efforts, • Coordinate activities such as advertising, content marketing, email marketing, social media, and public relations, • Ensure effective allocation of resources, track expenditures, and provide regular financial reporting, • Work closely with internal teams to ensure integrated marketing efforts that help achieve and exceed established revenue goals and support overall business operations, • Ensure sales activities and bookings are focused on yielding maximum revenue per available guest room and any meeting or event space where applicable, • Direct selling efforts for the Business Travel and Consortia segments, • Consistently utilize a robust Business Intelligence platform to engage target accounts and agencies, • Direct all sales-related activities, including but not limited to sales activity goals, contract concessions, and rate negotiations., • Participate in monthly forecasts for sales-driven segments and events, • Maintain an organized departmental plan for internal and external correspondence and follow-up, • Promote local awareness through maintaining relationships with CVB and other industry partners and organizations, • Conduct site tours to showcase the property and entertain clients as appropriate, • Attend or ensure participation in relevant industry events and tradeshows, • Host FAM stays with travel agents, potential clients, influencers, and other marketing partners, • Have a working knowledge of local and regional competition, • Participate in the hotel’s weekly commercial strategy meetings, • Participate in weekly leadership meetings, • Support personnel actions such as hiring and terminating staff, and consulting with HR and management as necessary, • You have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience., • You have 4+ years of experience in directing sales teams of 3 or more team members at an Independent Lifestyle Hotel, • You have solid leadership skills and believe in hospitality deeply and passionately., • You can sell and negotiate with the best of the best., • You are highly competitive, hungry for the business, and driven by the close., • You know how important relationships are, and you find joy in growing and maintaining new ones., • You are curious. Serving as the organizations representative during private third-party events, the Venue Attendant manages Client and Vendor relations, facility support, and resolves issues in real time. Reporting directly to the restaurant General Managers, The Mansion Concierge will be responsible for coordinating all special reservations for both the Mansion and Lutie’s Restaurants. This includes, large party requests, private dining requests, group dining/experiences for 14 guests and under. They will focus on providing highly personalized service with a strong focus on maximizing F&B revenue and driving utilization of the restaurants. The Mansion Concierge is strategically positioned in the mansion offices to assist coordination of other food and beverage operations outlined in the key responsibilities below.
