Our collections span sterling silver, gold, lab-grown diamonds, and gemstones, with a focus on rings, necklaces, earrings, and relationship- and gifting-driven jewelry. As FanciMe continues to grow in the U.S., we are expanding our New York team and looking for an experienced Senior Jewelry Designer & Product Development Manager to become a key product and creative voice for the brand in the U.S. market. The Role We are looking for someone who can bridge jewelry design and product development. This is not a purely executional design role. You will help translate U.S. consumer insights, fashion and cultural trends, and emerging jewelry aesthetics into products with strong creative identity and commercial potential. Working closely with our Founder/CEO in New York and our established design, product development, and manufacturing teams in China, you will help shape FanciMe's future product direction for the U.S. and global markets. The ideal candidate is both a strong jewelry designer and a strong product thinker — someone who can take an idea from consumer insight and initial concept through design, sampling, refinement, and final product. What You'll DoJewelry Design & Product Creation • Develop original jewelry concepts and designs across rings, necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and other demi-fine and fine jewelry categories., • Translate consumer insights, fashion trends, cultural shifts, and social trends into commercially relevant product ideas., • Create sketches, mood boards, design directions, references, and detailed product briefs., • Help evolve a distinctive and recognizable FanciMe product design language., • Bring a strong point of view on proportion, materials, stones, color, wearability, styling, and finishing., • Balance creativity and originality with commercial potential, target price points, and scalability., • Identify opportunities to create hero products, signature designs, and recognizable collections, rather than simply adding more SKUs.Product Development, • Manage or support the development process from concept → design → sampling → refinement → final approval., • Work closely with our China-based jewelry designers, CAD designers, product developers, engineers, and manufacturing teams., • Review prototypes and samples and provide clear, actionable feedback on proportion, construction, materials, stones, finishing, comfort, and overall product quality., • Understand manufacturing constraints and work collaboratively to solve technical challenges while protecting the original design intent., • Help improve development speed, sample accuracy, quality, and overall product-development efficiency., • Work across materials including sterling silver, gold, platinum, lab-grown diamonds, and gemstones.U.S. Consumer & Market Insight, • Act as an important U.S. product and consumer voice within the global product team., • Stay closely connected to jewelry, fashion, beauty, lifestyle, retail, social media, and broader cultural trends., • Regularly analyze competitor launches, emerging aesthetics, consumer behavior, creator trends, and retail environments., • Conduct competitive product reviews, store visits, trend research, and relevant trade-show research., • Identify whitespace opportunities rather than simply following existing trends., • Translate market observations into specific and actionable product opportunities for the design and development teams.Commercial Product Thinking, • Partner with marketing, social, e-commerce, and merchandising teams to understand what products are resonating with customers — and why., • Use sales performance, customer feedback, social engagement, creator feedback, and competitive insights to inform future product development., • Understand the relationship between design, product cost, retail price, margin, perceived value, and commercial potential., • Help prioritize products with the potential to become best sellers or long-term brand signatures., • Work with the marketing team to ensure product concepts translate naturally into compelling campaigns, social content, creator partnerships, and product storytelling.What We're Looking ForRequired, • Professional experience in the jewelry industry is required., • Ideally 5+ years of professional experience in jewelry design, jewelry product development, or a combination of both., • Strong portfolio demonstrating original jewelry design and products that have been successfully developed and produced., • Strong understanding of jewelry construction, materials, stones, finishing, manufacturing, and product development., • Experience taking jewelry from initial concept through sampling and production., • Strong visual taste and an informed point of view on contemporary jewelry design., • Ability to critically evaluate samples and communicate detailed product feedback., • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills., • Comfortable working in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment., • Must be able to work regularly in New York City., • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.Strong Plus, • Experience with demi-fine jewelry, fine jewelry, fashion jewelry, or DTC jewelry brands., • Experience working with sterling silver, 14K/18K gold, platinum, natural or lab-grown diamonds, and gemstones., • Strong CAD knowledge or experience working closely with CAD designers and jewelry engineers., • Experience collaborating with overseas manufacturing or product development teams, particularly in Asia., • Strong understanding of U.S. Gen Z and Millennial jewelry consumers., • Experience with social-first, creator-driven, or DTC consumer brands., • Experience developing a best seller, hero SKU, signature product, or commercially successful collection., • Familiarity with the New York jewelry, fashion, design, and creative ecosystem.Who We're Looking For You may be a strong understanding of FanciMe's customer, product DNA, and U.S. market opportunity., • Bring stronger U.S. consumer and cultural insights into our product pipeline., • Establish an efficient working rhythm between our New York and China product teams., • Develop products and collections with clear differentiation and commercial potential., • Help identify and create potential hero products and signature FanciMe designs., • Strengthen the connection between product, brand, social content, and consumer demand.Compensation & Employment For full-time employment, the expected base salary range is $75,000–$90,000 per year, depending on experience, portfolio strength, and overall fit. We are also open to part-time arrangements for highly qualified candidates. Part-time compensation will be structured based on experience, scope, and expected weekly commitment.
