Production-ready files • Artwork built at 1:1 final size, or a stated scale like 1:10, with exact dimensions that match the shop drawings and site measurements, • Vector files (AI, EPS or PDF) for logos, text and anything that gets cut. Raster images need enough resolution at final size, usually 100–150 dpi for large format, • Fonts converted to outlines, and every linked image embedded or packaged with the file Print and cut setup • Bleed, usually 0.5"–1" for large format, and safe zones kept clear of seams, edges, hardware and mullions, • Cut, kiss-cut and contour lines on their own named layers, with standard naming and spot colors, • Panel tiling and seam placement planned for material widths, for example vinyl roll widths or glass panel breaks, • White ink and opacity layers when printing on clear substrates like glass, acrylic or window film Color management • CMYK or the printer’s RIP profile, with brand Pantone callouts noted, • Awareness of how the substrate changes color (frosted, clear or backlit), plus willingness to do hard proofs or strike-offs for approval Documentation • Panel or element numbering that matches the install plan, so the crew knows where each piece goes, • Elevation proofs showing the artwork on the actual wall or glass, for client sign-off, • Material and finish callouts, plus coverage percentages when pattern area affects estimating or cost Workflow • Preflight checks before files go to production, • Clear version control and file naming so an old revision never gets printed, • Quick turnaround on client revisions, and good coordination with production and install leads
