Accountant Job Duties: Develop/improve systems to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts; defining accounting policies and procedures. Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies Manage A/R process and perform A/R reconciliations and verify correct application to customer accounts Manage A/P process and ensure expenses are properly accrued for and paid timely Assist in customer collections efforts; determine write-offs and changes to bad debt allowance Manage vendor accounts, ensure proper discounts and credits are utilized, and ensure that vendors are paid timely.
