Why join us? o401(k) oDental insurance oDisability insurance oHealth insurance oLife insurance oOn-site gym oPaid time off Job Details Responsibilities: • Draft, review, and revise legal pleadings, motions, and briefs with accuracy and attention to detail., • Represent clients in court proceedings and before government agencies., • Prepare and argue pre-trial motions, conduct and defend depositions, and participate in trial proceedings as needed., • Manage all aspects of civil litigation, including first-party and third-party claims, across practice areas such as Insurance Defense, Premises Liability Defense, Products Liability, Personal Injury, Trucking, and Wrongful Death., • Conduct thorough legal research and provide clear analysis on complex legal issues., • Interpret and apply relevant laws, rulings, and regulations to support client matters., • Provide clients with sound legal advice regarding their rights, obligations, and potential risks., • Negotiate settlements and work toward efficient resolution of disputes., • Ensure compliance with all applicable legal standards, ethical obligations, and regulatory requirements., • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school., • Active admission to the State Bar of Texas., • 3-5 years of legal experience, preferably within a law firm environment handling personal injury and civil litigation matters., • Demonstrated proficiency in drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs., • Experience conducting and defending depositions, with trial experience strongly preferred., • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills., • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities., • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload and thrive in a fast-paced environment., • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related legal software., • Effective negotiation and conflict-resolution skills., • Strong interpersonal and presentation abilities, with the capacity to communicate effectively at all organizational levels., • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously., • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality at all times. SUMMARY OF POSITION: Works primarily with their supervising attorney and administrative members of the law firm, such as paralegals, legal clerks, and legal assistants. Is mainly responsible for communicating with clients, works towards developing legal strategies, and assists their supervising attorney with case management. As an Associate Attorney, you will be expected to stay informed about client matter, maintaining and building relationships with clients, preparing legal documents, attending hearings, mediations, trials, and arbitrations. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Maintain 35 billable hours per, • Timely complete tasks as assigned by your supervising attorney. These typically involve:, • Researching legal issues, • Drafting various pleadings, • Drafting various motions, • Ensuring that all statutory deadlines are properly complied with., • Attending and participate in hearings, mediations, and/or arbitrations as needed., • Assisting with other tasks as assigned by your supervising attorney., • Stay informed on client matters and assist your supervising attorney in maintaining client communications and relationships., • Promptly respond to client communications. (Typically, within 24 hours)., • Prepare for Strategy Meetings with your supervising attorney as scheduled.
