Job Description Our client in the Spokane, WA location is currently hiring for a Construction Project Manager to support a growing backlog of commercial construction work. This role will lead multiple projects from pre-construction through closeout, supporting both ground-up and tenant improvement projects across a variety of commercial sectors. This is a full-time, on-site position split between the office and active job sites. Pay: Competitive compensation (depending on years of experience, tenure, software proficiency, and relevant project experience) Location: Spokane, WA (on-site; split between corporate office and active construction project sites) Schedule: Standard Monday – Friday (40 hours per week, flexibility based on project needs) Responsibilities • Manage all phases of commercial construction projects from pre-construction through closeout, • Lead ground-up and tenant improvement projects across commercial sectors including healthcare, financial, retail, hospitality, industrial, aerospace, government, and multi-family, • Oversee subcontractor buyouts including scope definition, bid reviews, and contract awards, • Coordinate safety reviews and support safe jobsite practices aligned with company and regulatory standards, • Prepare, review, and manage change orders with accurate documentation and communication, • Manage monthly billing, pay applications, and supporting documentation, • Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and clients to maintain project alignment, • Prepare and track submittals, RFIs, contracts, and all required project documentation, • Identify and resolve jobsite, schedule, and contract-related challenges, • Oversee project budgets, cost tracking, forecasting, and overall profitability, • Develop and maintain project schedules using appropriate scheduling tools, • Interpret construction documents including drawings, specifications, and blueprints, • Maintain effective document control and project communication practices, • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, trade partners, and community stakeholders, • Support a collaborative team environment focused on accountability, trust, and shared success Qualification Requirements • 5+ years of construction project management experience with a commercial general contractor, • Experience managing ground-up and tenant improvement commercial construction projects, • Strong understanding of commercial construction methods including wood frame, steel, masonry, tilt-wall, post-tension, and pre-engineered metal buildings, • Knowledge of contract delivery methods including Lump Sum, GMP, Design-Build, and Cost Plus, • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and documentation, • Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore (preferred), scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office, • Ability to read and interpret construction documents and blueprints, • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills, • OSHA 30 certification or willingness to obtain prior to start Disqualifiers • Less than 5 years of commercial construction project management experience, • No experience supporting commercial general contractor projects, • No exposure to ground-up or tenant improvement construction, • Lack of experience managing budgets, schedules, and project documentation Employee Value Proposition • Well-established commercial general contractor with the largest backlog in company history extending well into 2027, • Approximately 70% repeat client business with dedicated business development support, • Strong reputation for quality, safety, and employee satisfaction at both regional and national levels Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
