Job DescriptionJob Title: German AI Data Trainer - Remote Location: RemoteRole Overview This is a remote, hourly-paid contractor role focused on improving the safety, reliability, and reasoning quality of AI systems. You will evaluate AI-generated content, assess step-by-step reasoning, and provide expert feedback to ensure outputs are accurate, logically sound, and aligned with safety policies. You will work with both German and English content, applying nuanced linguistic and cultural judgment. Your evaluations will directly support leading AI research organizations in strengthening model safety and alignment. This role may involve exposure to sensitive content, including material that is sexual, violent, or psychologically disturbing, as part of safety evaluation and model improvement workflows. Key Responsibilities • Review and evaluate AI-generated responses for accuracy, clarity, reasoning quality, and safety compliance, • Identify logical, methodological, or conceptual errors in model outputs, • Rate and compare multiple AI responses based on correctness, safety alignment, and policy adherence, • Conduct fact-checking and validation where required, • Apply safety policies consistently across German and English content, • Perform red-teaming and adversarial testing to identify vulnerabilities, edge cases, and unsafe model behaviors, • Document findings with clear, structured reasoning and reproducible decision paths, • Detect cultural nuance, slang, coded language, and contextual shifts in both languages, • Recommend improvements to safety guidelines and mitigation strategies for identified risksRequired Qualifications, • Bachelors degree or higher in Linguistics, Communications, Psychology, Law, Policy, Security Studies, or a related field (or equivalent experience), • Native or near-native German proficiency (reading and writing), • Minimum C1 English proficiency (reading and writing), • Experience in Trust Safety, content moderation, policy enforcement, compliance, investigations, or risk operations, • Proven experience in LLM red-teaming or adversarial testing (required), • Strong ability to analyze and localize content across languages while preserving intent and severity, • Excellent written communication skills with clear, structured reasoning, • Strong attention to detail and consistency in applying policy guidelines, • Comfortable working independently in a remote, contractor-based environmentPreferred Qualifications, • Experience in AI data annotation, model evaluation, or localization/translation, • Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, or similar systems, • Experience working with structured safety frameworks or taxonomy-based labeling systems, • Background in analytical, investigative, or policy-driven roles
