Location: Downtown Manhattan, NY Schedule: Full-time, live-out (Monday-Friday), starting ASAP Overview A lovely private family of three in Manhattan is seeking a professional, detail-oriented House Manager to manage the daily upkeep and organization of their home. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with exceptional laundry and wardrobe management skills, and takes pride in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and care throughout the residence. Experience with cooking is a plus. Key Responsibilities • Perform daily housekeeping duties of an apartment, including deep cleaning, tidying, and general organization, • Expert-level laundry care for the family, including washing, ironing, steaming, folding, and delicate garment handling, • Wardrobe management: unpacking shopping, minor repairs, dry cleaning, inventorying, closet organization, and packing/unpacking for travel, • Light cooking and meal prep, • Package management (receive, open, process returns, etc), • Maintain household supplies, re-stock as needed, • Weekly grocery shopping, • Occasional errand running as requested Qualifications • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role with a private family, • Fluent in English and excellent at taking directions, • Must be a team player and have a can-do attitude, • Strong references demonstrating excellence, reliability, and trustworthiness, • Detail-oriented with high standards for cleanliness and organization, • Experience working in a home with a school-aged child and flexible with daily needs, • Available to come in on occasional Saturdays as needed
