Job Description • Maintains strict adherence to state and federal practice guidelines; maintains qualifications from FTCA credentialing, • Directly affect improvements in patient well-being through accurate and timely diagnosis and delivery of high quality dental treatment, • Ensure the delivery of competent, accurate, dental care and treatment to all patients as assigned, • Functions to full extent of licensure as dentist; assessing, diagnosing, treating educating referring patients, • Ensure the delivery of all dental treatment and care is consistent with all regulatory, accreditation, and professional standards, including clinic policies and quality initiatives, • Understand and ensure all practices and procedures related to the delivery of dental services are consistent with contracted protocols and procedures, • Successfully builds panel of patients by accepting new patients, inactive patients, and patients with special needs, • May be required to perform hygiene services to meet patient demand, • Participate in staff and professional conferences; keeps adequate CME to maintain licensure and clinical competency, • Consult on and assist in development of clinical in-service training relative to the care of the patient population, • Trains, mentors, and supervises students and clinical support staff as needed, • Develop and ensure ongoing, positive relationships and collaboration with other dentists and dental staff members. Ensures the success of clinical operation through collaborative support and working relationships with all clinic operations staff, • Serves as role model for all employees displaying professional courtesy and compassionate care of patients, • Completes thorough and timely clinical documentation in EMR (within 72 hours of patient visit), • Ensures appropriate confidentiality with patient charting, record keeping, and administrative duties as assigned., • Participates in health promotion, education, prevention programs, • Performs all other related duties as assigned -this may include non-clinical activities such as supporting administrative activities to support the dental practice, representing NSCHC dental on internal and external committees, and attending occasional outreach events., • Ensures all actions, job performance, personal conduct and communications represent the organization in a highly professional manner at all times, • Uphold and ensure compliance and attention to all corporate policies and procedures as well as the overall mission and values of the organizationKNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE-, • Public health orientation through training, experience, or professional interest, • Must have ability to collaborate and communicate with other staff, • Successful working in a fast paced situation and is self-directed with minimal supervisionQUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED FOR EMPLOYEMENT), • Must be a licensed dentist eligible to practice in the State of Pennsylvania, • Current provider card in Basic Life Support (BLS), • Clearances: Act 33, 34, 73, • Annual influenza vaccine, • Must obtain or provide proof of (within 14 days of hire): PPD, Tdap, Hepatitis B immunity, MMR immunity, varicella immunity, • Complete self-attestation of fitness for duty, • Prolonged sitting and/or standing and moving about throughout the workday, • Potential exposure to biohazardous materials, including ionizing radiation NSCHC provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetics.
