We have recently joined forces with OrthoPediatrics as their Specialty Bracing division to deliver more O&P and help more KIDS! We have 3 different Clinician CO or CPO positions: • Gainesville, FL: This is a new O&P clinic start-up location. We are looking for a strong CPO that can deliver patient care independently. 5 years of experience, inclusive of residency, is preferred. This clinic will have an COA and will grow to a 2 clinician clinic., • Davie, FL (near Ft. Lauderdale): This is a well-established O&P clinic that currently has 2 full time CPOs. We need to add a CO or CPO. Board Eligible to years of experience will be considered. There will be some floating coverage between the Davie and Miami clinics to support each other., • Miami, FL: This CO or CPO position will work with a 2nd CPO and will serve patients within a Children’s hospital and in a community O&P clinic. Board Eligible to years of experience will be considered. There will be some floating coverage between the Davie and Miami clinics to support each other. This position could require some travel in Florida Responsibilities: Provides care to patients with disabling conditions of limbs and spine by fitting/adjusting orthopedic braces and prosthetics under the direction of, and in consultation with physicians, by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may be assigned): • Examine, fully evaluate, and measure patients to determine their O&P needs; identify factors affecting brace or prosthetic fit., • Fit, test, and evaluate devices on patients; make adjustments for proper fit, function, and comfort., • Instruct patients in the use and care of orthoses/prostheses., • Design orthopedic devices, based on physicians' prescriptions and examination/measurement of patients., • Maintain patients' records., • (remove this full sentence)Make and modify plaster casts of areas that will be fitted with orthoses, for use in the device construction process., • Take cast impressions, scans, and measurements as required to complete a work-order for brace/prosthetic design and fabrication by appropriate lab., • Select materials and components to be used based on device design., • Confer with physicians, therapists and families to formulate specifications and prescriptions for O&P devices that meet the goals for patient comfort and success., • Repair, rebuild, and modify orthoses and prosthetics as needed., • (remove this full sentence)Construct and fabricate appliances, or direct others constructing the appliances., • Enjoy working within a hospital clinic stetting with our referral sources as well as in an O&P clinic setting in the communities.
