Odessa is a top destination for Texas healthcare professionals, known for its vibrant arts scene and welcoming West Texas community. • Location: Odessa, TX 79761 (West Texas healthcare jobs), • Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract, • Start Date: December 16, 2025, • End Date: March 17, 2026, • Shift: Day shift, Friday-Sunday, 3x12-hour shifts (06:30 - 19:00), • Hours per Week: 36, • Setting: Main Operating Room, Level II Trauma Center, • Orientation: 3-4 days, • COVID-19 Vaccine: Not required, • Flu Vaccine: Required (medical/religious exemptions allowed), • Estimated Weekly Salary: $1860-$2000, • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Texas or compact state), • Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience (2-3 years preferred), • Travel nursing experience required, • Experience in community hospital and Level II Trauma Center required, • Experience with Cerner charting system preferred, • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS (all required for OR RN jobs), • Robotic XI, orthopedic, spine/neuro, general/gyn, ENT, ophthalmology, pain management, urology, vascular, and trauma experience preferred, • Previous charge nurse experience preferred, • Ability to provide care for all age groups: neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, • Local candidates within 50 miles not accepted (travel nurse position), • Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate perioperative nursing care to surgical patients, • Assist with a wide variety of surgical procedures: robotic, orthopedic, spine/neuro, general, gynecological, ENT, ophthalmology, pain management, urology, vascular, and trauma cases, • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes, • Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner electronic health records, • Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical education to stay current with best practices in operating room nursing, • Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and hospital protocols GHR Healthcare - Travel Division Job ID #435267.
