Hourly wage is based on experience and geographical location. • Flexible work schedule, • Access to an employee discount program, • Reimbursable travel time and mileage Session Facilitators are responsible for:, • Traveling to selected locations to administer student surveys, discuss the study, answer questions, and review/set-up student survey logistics with school representatives, • Maintaining communication with supervisor to ensure timely follow-up on requests, • Collecting confidential information and maintaining confidentiality of all student data collected, • Maintaining data security and transmitting data as scheduled; after student sessions, • Independently managing administrative duties, including participating in virtual conference calls with supervisors, other members of the project team, and completing online trainings, • Assuming full and legal responsibility for use and care of project issued equipment, • Safeguarding any participant incentives, issued equipment, or project materials against damage, loss, or theft; returning project issued equipment, incentives, and supplies, • Submitting timely and accurate Time & Expense reports, • Attending virtually scheduled meetings with other members of the project team, • Administer a school-based computerized student survey to students and/or virtual synchronous student surveys, when required, • Ability to work a variable work schedule, as dictated by school schedules (primarily early mornings through mid-afternoon M-F), • Tracking parental permission results, communications with school coordinators, and log updates daily related to logistics, • Completing school debriefing forms, uploading, and transmitting student session data within 24 hours, • Demonstrate the ability to work with supervisor and complete assignments on schedule and maintain communication to ensure timely follow-up on requests, • Completing all required activities in a professional manner, while maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of all information acquired, • Position involves daily physical demands of walking, lifting, standing, carrying equipment, bending, stretching, stooping, typing, etc. Physical effort includes equipment weight up to 15 pounds, • Overnight travel may be required, based on assignment location RTI International, is seeking part-time Session Facilitators to administer school-based computerized student surveys for the Pennsylvania Career & Technical Education Assessments Study (PA CTE). Session Facilitators (SFs) prepare for and conduct in-school data collection according to project protocols. SFs ensure that field data collection activities are carried out in an efficient and cost-effective manner, that the data collected are of the highest possible quality, and that all activities are conducted in a professional manner following established procedures set forth by the project and RTI/DCS. This important research study is funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Education’s Institute of Education Sciences. Minimum Required Qualifications • Must be at least 21 years old at the time of employment, • Must possess High School Diploma or GED, • Possess effective communication skills through speech and listening, • Fluency in English through reading, writing, and speaking, • Available for entire training and data collection period, • Able to successfully complete training, • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable personal automobile available for business use, • Comfortable using personal tablet/laptop for business use, and any RTI issued equipment, • Access to password-protected Wi-Fi connection for data transmissions and administrative responsibilities, • Able to keep project information confidential, • Must have a personal mobile phone to place and receive unlimited calls and texts from schools, supervisors, tech support, and project staff, • Willingness to work in various types of weather conditions and after dark, • Ability to read text verbatim from paper documents and the computer Preferred Qualifications for Ideal Candidates, • Associate's Degree, • Prior in-school data collection experience, • One year experience directly or indirectly related to teaching, working with children in a school setting and/or field interviewing experience, • Ability to use laptop for project activities, enter information in web-based systems, view electronic reports, and communicate via email, • Familiarity with iPads/Chromebooks (equipment) and setting up access points, • Technical skills with the ability to troubleshoot iPad/Chromebook connectivity issues, • Positive, self-motivated, curious, and enjoy interacting with people from a variety of backgrounds, • Effective interpersonal, verbal communication, and time management skills to meet set deadlines, • Proficient computer skills, namely email, internet, and Zoom, • Be comfortable working in unfamiliar areas, • The data collection period is expected to be January, 2026 through June, 2026, • On average, you will be needed part-time approximately 10 hours per week when work is available, • On average, you should be available to work in the field 2 days each week, • The majority of this work is anticipated to be weekdays during daytime hours, • Successfully complete virtual project training January 6, 2026 – January 8, 2026, • Complete 8 hours, or more, of pre-training activities (meetings with the study team, manual reading, online training modules and quizzes), • Must successfully complete project certification to continue employment on the project For USA Job Postings Only: RTI participates in the US Government E-Verify program.
