Job Description Position Summary: The BHS Clinical Specialist will provide comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessment, treatment planning, and clinical services in accordance with Behavioral Health Services programming, agency standards and evidence-based practice delivery. The Clinical Specialist should be proficient in conducting interviews and diagnostic assessments, administering and scoring psychometric assessments, and providing ongoing treatment utilizing KVC KY evidence-based practice models and based on assessed clinical need. Clinical Specialists must participate in initial and ongoing training and consultation activities as required to implement evidence-based practices and must adhere to the requirements and fidelity monitoring activities outlined by the model. Clinical Specialists must be willing to provide assessment and treatment services in home, school, and community-based settings as well as via telehealth in a trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and strengths-based manner. The Clinical Specialist must have a master's degree in Social Work (or other related field) with the ability to provide clinical services in Kentucky. The Clinical Specialist must be able to be independently licensed or provisionally licensed and under the supervision of a licensed provider. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Master's in social work Degree, Psychology, Counseling or closely related field. Licensure/Certification: Ability to be provisionally licensed or maintain full licensure to provide clinical services in State of Kentucky. Valid driver’s license and auto insurance. Must have your CSW, LCSW, LPCA, LPC. Experience: One to three years providing evidence-based clinical services to individuals, children, adolescents, adults, and/or families Preferred Experience/Skills: Requires Intermediate computer skills in typing/keyboarding, Microsoft Word and Excel programs as well as Outlook email Duties & Responsibilities Provide direct therapeutic services to adults, youth and families. • Review intake paperwork, informed consent, client rights, and orient client to outpatient treatment model during initial session., • Utilize agency and industry approved evidence-based screening, assessment, and treatment practices in working with individuals, children,adolescents and families to address a broad range of mental health and co-occurring disorders., • Provide screening and assessment services to children,adolescents,adults,and families., • Complete screening, assessments,psychosocial, and treatment plan documentation in Chart Online., • Develop and maintain a comprehensive, assessment driven treatment plan directed by medical necessity, best practice and appropriate level of care recommendations., • Document all psychotherapy sessions,telephone contacts,and referrals made in theclientrecord., • Collaborate with other behavioral health professionals, physical health professionals,and community partners to deliver integrated care., • Attend and participate in collaborative, interdisciplinary team meetings with clients,other treatment providers,and community partners as indicated to achieve best outcomes., • Provide risk assessment and recommendations and safety planning to reduce risks to clients and others., • Completes all required documentation (screenings, psychosocial assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, non-billable contacts, aftercare plans, discharge plan, etc.)in accordance withall applicable regulations,contractand grant requirements., • Conduct psychosocial assessment and other paperwork as outlined in 902 KAR 20:430 and 908 KAR 1:370., • Document all referrals made to outside agencies and client compliance with these referrals., • Complete documentation in accordance with agency documentation guidelines. Ensure accuracy of all documentation submitted., • Collaborative documentation will be utilized to complete service tickets,psychosocial, treatment plans,and other necessary forms and documentation while in session with clients and/or guardians to ensure client involvement with treatment., • Complete all needed Managed Care Organization, Insurance or Payor documentation needed to ensure approved service delivery or appeal decisions., • Complete documentation and follow through of allall individual supervision, group supervision, and case consultations in keeping regulations,contractand agency standards., • Participate actively intrainings,consultation and fidelity monitoring for evidence-based treatment models to enhance outcomes and service delivery., • Attend meetings, seminars, and other educational functions of the agency identified by supervisor. Obtain a minimum of 40 Continuing Education training hours annually with a minimum of 20 by June 30., • Provides and updates all needed information for credentialing purposes and service provision to a variety of Payor sources., • Maintain professional licensing and certification asidentifiedby the supervisor or agency director and state regulations., • Participate in required supervision (individual and group) as outlined by the professional licensing board as applicable., • DesignatedLicensed Clinicians may provide weekly direct clinical supervision to KVC Behavioral Healthcare KY, Inc. employees., • Understand andmaintaincompliance with all applicable regulations (State and Federal), as well as applicable grant and contractual obligations., • Maintain Client Rights as outlined in the KVC Handbook., • Follow Risk Management Polices as outlined in the KVC Staff Handbook and Agency Manuals., • Maintaina currentDriver’s License and AutomobileInsurance, (as required by agency’sinsurer). Maintain Professional Performance and Conduct. • Meet Expectations as defined in the Performance Evaluation and Behavioral Health Services Clinical Competency Evaluation., • Dressprofessionally asoutlined in the KVC Staff Handbook., • Represent KVC professionally in all interactions with clients, community partners, payorsources., • Collaborate professionally with other treatment team membersinternaland external to KVC., • Maintain Confidentiality. All KVC employees are privy to confidential client information. Due tocomplextreatment needs of our clients, service providers have contacts thatrequirewritten and verbal information exchange with different professionals and agencies. Job Environment • Behavioral Health Clinician must be available to work evenings or weekends. Be willing to regularly travel as needed to fulfill duties of this position. Behavioral Health Clinician must have a valid driver’s license. Behavioral Health Clinician must be flexible and able to change tasks easily. Behavioral Health Clinician must work well under pressure and be detail oriented.
