Job Description Job Description The Order Planner Assistant supports the planning and coordination of customer orders throughout the manufacturing process to ensure on-time delivery. This role works closely with the Purchasing, Production, Sales, and Product Engineering teams to assist in production planning, monitor order status, and maintain accurate planning data within ERP systems. The position helps ensure that materials, schedules, and manufacturing resources are aligned to meet customer and production requirements. ROLE OBJECTIVE The primary objective of this role is to act as a central coordination point for order status and production planning activities. The Order Planner Assistant supports planners in scheduling, releasing, and tracking orders from customer purchase order receipt through final shipment. This role ensures accurate order information, monitors production progress across departments including Purchasing, Warehouse, Integration, Quality Control, and Shipping, and communicates status updates to Sales, Program Management, and Account Engineering teams. The position also supports continuous improvement initiatives and helps maintain efficient planning processes through accurate data management and reporting. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Assist planners in preparing and updating daily and weekly production schedules for motherboard assembly lines., • Maintain accurate data in ERP systems, including SAP ECC, such as work orders, BOM updates, and planning parameters., • Monitor component availability for motherboard and system production and report potential shortages to purchasing and planning teams., • Assist in releasing manufacturing orders (MO) and ensure correct BOM and routing information are applied., • Track work-in-progress (WIP), finished goods, and critical components to support production planning., • Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, production, and engineering teams to align materials and resources with production schedules., • Review sales orders to ensure planning aligns with required delivery dates., • Generate reports on production status, backlog, and delivery performance using Excel or BI tools., • Support the tracking and implementation of engineering changes (ECN/ECO) affecting components or BOM structures., • Assist planners in analyzing production capacity, material usage, and demand trends., • Maintain planning documentation, including production schedules, work order records, and reports., • Identify potential risks such as material shortages, capacity constraints, or schedule delays and escalate them to planners., • Perform other duties as assigned to support project, team, and company objectives.
