Through education, care navigation, and joyful community engagement, OCC helps families navigate aging with dignity and connection. OCC specializes in dementia care while serving a broader aging population. Position Summary The Hub Specialist is a key operational and guest-facing role that supports the daily functioning of The Hub- OCCs welcoming, community-centered space. This position ensures smooth operations, exceptional hospitality, and well-coordinated programs and events. TheHub Specialist provides concierge-level guest services, administrative and scheduling support, event logistics, volunteer coordination, and inventory management, while also serving as a consistent, supportive presence for families accessing the Hub. Key Responsibilities Guest Experience & Family Support • Provide a warm, welcoming experience for all guests, families, partners, and community members., • Answer phones and respond to general inquiries, routing families to appropriate resources or staff as needed., • Offer tours and share information about Hub programs, services, and events., • Provide front-line support to families, offering reassurance, basic information, and connection to the Hub Manager for care navigation needs., • Manage calendars and schedules for Hub events, programs, and appointments., • Schedule care navigation and clinic appointments, • Support documentation, appointment reminders, check-in processes, and communication workflows., • Set up, support, and clean up Hub programs, Memory Cafs, social gatherings, and educational events., • Organize and facilitate Mix & Mingle events to foster connection and community., • Support dementia-inclusive events such as Happy Hours, Music & Memories, family nights, paint parties, and ice cream socials., • Support GUIDE and care navigation services through scheduling, preparation of materials, and follow-up coordination., • Maintain the Care Partner Library, ensuring materials are organized, stocked, and accessible., • Coordinate, onboard, train, schedule, and supervise volunteers supporting Hub operations and events., • Support marketing efforts by assisting with flyers, social posts, and outreach logistics., • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelors degree preferred., • Experience in customer service, program support, administration, events, or community-based settings., • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills., • Ability to interact compassionately with families experiencing stress or uncertainty., • Comfort working with older adults with cognitive and physical challenges., • Experience in nonprofit, healthcare, aging services, or community engagement roles., • Volunteer coordination experience., • Be part of an innovative organization redefining aging and dementia care., • Play a meaningful role in supporting families and caregivers., • Work in a collaborative, mission-driven environment., • Help create joyful, welcoming experiences for older adults and their care partners.
